The Eggman Empire is the Empire of scientists and robots. The Eggman Empire is never built, or seen. Sonic Unleashed was the most recent game to feature the Eggman Empire. The early cartoons and Archie comics use the name Robotropolis (though the comics later adopted the name when an alternate version of Robotnik appeared). In Sonic Adventure 2 the name "Eggman Empire" was used. This can be prosumed as two words in the background while Eggman was broadcasting his threat. Also, in the Dark Story, a scene is called "Eggman Empire". Sonic X and Shadow the Hedgehog also use the name Eggman Empire. In the Japanese dub of the movie, his home city is called Eggmanland, while in the English dub it is called Robotropolis. In Shadow the Hedgehog, the Eggman Empire is one of the factions that Shadow can align himself with along with GUN and the Black Arms. When fighting for the Eggman Empire, Shadow is guided by Eggman, who communicates with him from a hovering TV-like apparatus.

In the world of the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series, Eggmanland is a land that Sonic the Hedgehog's nemesis, Dr. Eggman, often speaks of. In some continuities it is a land that he has already established; in others he only has plans for it. In most continuities, Eggmanland takes on the form of a technocratic dictatorship, with Dr. Eggman himself as the self-appointed Head of State. In general, as far as the social order of each continuity's Eggmanland spans out, robots and scientists employed by Eggman are granted greater social status than that of other Humans and Mobians. In the video game continuities, The Capital of the Eggman Empire does not actually exist; Eggman constantly strives to found it with various plans, several of which involve the use of Chaos Emeralds, the technology of his grandfather Gerald Robotnik, or both. In Sonic CD, Dr. Ivo Robotnik temporarily succeeds in creating a complete "Robotnikland" in the future world of the Little Planet by altering the past - this dark future is mainly a bleak post-apocalyptic world with all of Robotnik's robots being broken down and the scenery rusted and deteriorating. This could either mean two things: Robotnik's desired utopia is doomed to failure or he doesn't care what the planet looks like, as long as it's under his control. However, while he himself may not be able to complete Eggmanland, it was shown in Sonic Rush, that his "alter ego",Eggman Nega, has completed it. In Sonic Unleashed, Eggmanland does exist as one of the game's stages, created through the power of Dark Gaia and looking like a twisted mixture of a carnival and a factory. In Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, it is shown in the cliff-hanger ending that he has finally achieved his "empire" while Sonic and company were in the Twilight Cage as a result of the time difference between the two areas.

Leader

Doctor Ivo Robotnik, better known by the alias Doctor Eggman, is an obese scientist with an IQ of 300; he has a dream of dominating the world. Eggman's constant plots to create his Empire are endlessly thwarted by Sonic the Hedgehog, his arch-enemy, and Sonic's friends. He is a short-tempered, loud, pompous and cruel evil genius who is constantly planning to take over the world. However, his plans have always failed thanks to Sonic and his allies. Despite his intelligence, Dr. Eggman is horribly immature, throwing temper tantrums when Sonic throws the proverbial wrench into his plans, and, at times, seems to overlook crucial details in his plans, such as in the opening sequence of Sonic's story in the 2006 video game when he orders his robots to fire on Sonic while he is escaping with Princess Elise, failing to realize that they could possibly injure or kill Elise if they land a direct hit on Sonic. An example of his immaturity is in the ending of Sonic Unleashed, when one of his robots begins to insult him over his constant failures and calls him a loser; Eggman screams "Oh, shut up!!", attempts to kick him only to comically fail, and then chases him through the desert. He has built immense warships, such as the Death Egg and the Egg Carrier, as well as escape units such as the Egg Mobile. In fact, his most famous machine is an Egg Mobile with a wrecking ball attached to the bottom, which appears in Green Hill Zone in the first boss level. His plans to create the ultimate utopia, the Eggman Empire, are always in full swing, and he doesn't care where to start it -- in the end, he plans for it to encompass all of Earth. His abominable laughter and maniacal declarations contrast his self-professed softer side as a romanticist, feminist, and gentleman. Despite his and Sonic's constant feud, he has secretly developed a begrudging respect for the hedgehog. Although Eggman is a villain, he helps Sonic and co. when the world is at stake, most likely because if the world is destroyed, there would be nothing left for him to conquer. However, despite his desire for world domination, he does have a human side, and does not appreciate senseless destruction and killing, though he seems to have no problem doing so himself at times. As shown in Sonic CD's Bad Futures, the "Eggman Empire" is little more than a post-apocalyptic ruin. In Sonic Unleashed, there is a possibility that he murdered thousands when reawakening Dark Gaia by splitting the planet itself apart, however, that may not be so since the people around the world in the game appear to be alive and well. In the beginning ofSonic the Hedgehog (2006), he orders his robots to launch numerous missiles at Sonic with no regard for any that may be caught in the crossfire. Eggman's most well known ability is his masterminded plots and schemes which only fail due to Sonic and his friends. He is a remarkable scientist and engineer, as evidenced by the armies of robots he's created. Eggman is an incredibly skilled pilot: able to swoop missiles and lasers in his Eggmobilewith skill rivaling that of Tails. Eggman has also shown some considerable physical strength. Despite his physical structure, Eggman is also very athletic; this is seen in many of the 16-bit era games, where there is almost always a point where Sonic chases him; despite his weight and Sonic's speed, he always manages to outrun his nemesis (one time he outran a speeding truck) long enough to reach his next escape vehicle or weapon. This trait of agility is carried on in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and Sega Superstars Tennis. He also has a special sensor in his glasses that allows him to locate Chaos Emeralds. Jokingly, as an in-gameplay mechanic, it is also said that he is faster in running speed than Sonic himself as he always escapes his grasp in the Game Gear games. Although it has been proven, it is unknown whether he is still faster than Sonic, since he is almost always in his Egg Mobile.

Companies

Eggman Enterprises, or Eggman Industries, is a company Dr. Eggman owns. It is most likely the way how he funds his schemes. It as first mentioned in Sonic Colors. It is first during Sonic Colors, Eggman uses name during his PA announcements. He uses the name to market his overpriced products, injury or death disclaimers, or whenever he claims copyright over planets or mutant powers the park guests may gain during the rides.

Robotnik Corp. is Dr. Eggman's corporation that produces Extreme Gear. First appearing in Sonic Riders and responsible for the character boards, even Sonic, Tails and Knuckles' boards. However, Eggman may have provided, or at least sold the boards which Tails then modified to suit his friends' needs.

MeteoTech is a weapons/security manufacturing company set in Sonic Riders Zero Gravity. The company is run by Eggman as a front for another attempt at the Eggman Empire. Though it is a security manufacturing company, it has only been shown to produce robots such as SCR-GP and SCR-HD. MeteoTech's headquarters, Crimson Crater, is the worldwide communication center for the company, whose mother computer was formerly powered by the Ark of the Cosmos. This place happens to be settled where that said artifact was found. MeteoTech was a largely settled company whose security robots were conveniently settled throughout the landmass shown in Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, and was of primary interest to Sonic and co., immediately recognizing a connection between the company and the Arks Of The Cosmos.

Eggmanland is the dark, hi-tech, amusement park-like base of operations of Dr. Eggman and final level of Sonic Unleashed. It is Eggman's utopia and dreamland that he has finally founded over the last Gaia Temple and was created from the dark energy of Dark Gaia. In the 360/PS3 version of Unleashed, unlike previous levels, Eggmanland is not separated into day or nighttime acts. Sonic can change the time to day or night by the use of hourglasses that are placed in different locations in the level. Seeing as how the hourglasses work as the entrance to another stage, switching back and forth between night and day, Eggmanland is actually just one big, long level, taking several minutes to complete. The player swaps between Sonic and the Werehog, and will have to use all of the skills learned from the game to beat the enormous act, which seems to go on forever. After passing Eggmanland and restoring the white Chaos Emerald, Sonic (the Werehog) and Chip are ambushed by Eggman in his Egg Dragoon. The attack causes the ground to collapse, and the first of three final boss battles begins as Sonic, Chip, and Eggman hurtle into the Earth's core. After the Werehog defeats the Egg Dragoon, Dark Gaia appears and sends Eggman flying, who had tried to order the beast into destroying Sonic. Dark Gaia, the second final boss, is fought after Chip transforms into the Gaia Colossus. Then, after Sonic and the Gaia Colossus had seemingly defeated Dark Gaia, the monster powers up to his true form, Perfect Dark Gaia, who is the real final boss and is fought in an epic battle with Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus. Once Perfect Dark Gaia had finally been defeated and laid to rest, the state of Eggmanland is unknown, though it most likely collapsed in on itself due to the hole in the ground made by the Egg Dragoon. Then it was probably abandoned and fell into a state of ruin, much like Metropolis had been in Sonic Chronicles, however, this is just speculation. After beating the game, Sonic can access Eggmanland's HUB, which is also an Entrance Stage (due to there only being one huge act) and is located right at the city's large, Eggman-shaped gate. Sonic and Chip actually went through the HUB when they first landed in Eggmanland.

Forces

Eggman's Robots, also known as Badniks, are fictional enemy robots created by the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik in the Sonic the Hedgehog series of video games. While they were simply known as "Eggman's robots" in the Japanese releases of the games, the robots were classified as "Badniks" in the manuals of the early North American and European versions. After Sonic Adventure was released in 1999, the robots are most often called "Eggman's robots" in these areas of the world as well. However, they were called badniks again inSonic Rivals 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Some of them appear at the beginning of Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. In the games, they are used by Eggman as numerous soldiers, and they appear constantly throughout the levels to hinder the player and to kill the main protagonist, Sonic the Hedgehog. Eggman's robots have gone through a number of changes in appearance. The first generation of Eggman robots seen in the games were also built for the purpose of finding the Chaos Emeralds[1], whereas the second generation was to work on building the Death Egg[2]. Currently, it appears that Eggman is getting away from the personalized, ornate designs of his original machine lines, and is moving for a more mass-producible line of machines. Most early badniks in the games and those in the Sonic the Comic comic book were powered by animals that had been turned into some kind of organic battery. When destroyed by Sonic, they exploded and released a small animal, such as a Flicky, that hops off the screen. In other games however, it is shown that badniks can be powered by rings, or even by plants. Ironically, many of these older robots, from the original 16 bit games all the way to the Sonic Adventure series, usually resemble mechanical animals with built-in weaponry. Some continuities, such as the Sonic cartoon instead showed that Eggman "roboticized" animals, literally turning organic beings into his mechanical minions. In more recent games evolving new models of robots not based on animal designs, it has been shown they are actually powered by just some other electric device (like a normal battery) inside their bodies and when they are destroyed, nothing will pop out of them. Various designs of Badniks reappeared in multiple games, while others appeared only once. The designs of Badniks from Sonic 1 appear often, such as variations of the Beeton ("Buzz Bomber") Badniks, which resemble wasps and fire energy blasts from their stingers. The designs of the Gani-Gani ("Crabmeat") Badniks, which resemble scuttling crabs and fire energy blasts from guns within their claws, and the caterpillar-based Nal ("Caterkiller") Badniks are also seen often. These Badniks are likely used often due to appearing in the Green Hill Zone and Marble Zone, the very first levels of the first Sonic game, making them "classic". The Ai-Ai Badnik ("Coconuts") from Sonic 2 was designed after a monkey, and sat in palmtrees while throwing coconuts at Sonic. Variations of this Badnik has also appeared, and unlike the ones from Sonic 1, its design is often used in the 3D games. A specific Coconuts also got a somewhat large role in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon series. In Sonic & Knuckles, the player would face EggRobos, robots based on Eggman himself. These robots have appeared in several games since, without many design changes, and often as playable characters. Eggman is also known for making robots based on Sonic himself to pit against his rival. While most of these robots have been destroyed by their organic counterpart, one of them, Metal Sonic, has appeared again and again throughout the series to battle Sonic. In Sonic Adventure, the same game that stopped using the "Badnik" name, the E-Series was introduced. This line of robotics have appeared frequently since, with the notable E-102 and E-123 even being recurring playable characters. Some of them makes cameo appearances in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. Sonic Heroes introduced the "Egg Pawn" robots, clunky orange humanoid robots resembling Eggman that are also part of the E-series. These were apparently easier to make and were more expendable because of the many Egg Pawn troops encountered in games. Unlike the "variety" of previous Badniks and their designs, enemies inSonic Heroes were almost exclusively Egg Pawns with various weaponry and equipment. These robots have appeared in several games since Sonic Heroes, and appeared along with animal-based robots in Sonic Rivals. They were also created in different sizes, from small bazooka wielding ones to gargantuan hammer wielding ones, however, they had only four pieces of equipment total in Shadow the Hedgehog which included a shield (which in fact balances them out as the other 2 sides had shields too). Sonic Unleashed features robot grunts similar in design to Egg Pawns with minor differences. The new Sonic the Hedgehog game introduced all-new robots, called Egg Gunners. They are much more intimidating and menacing than the cartoonish Egg Pawns, and are tall, armed with machine guns and have white armour. They were likely used as Sonic Team wanted the game to be more "realistic", these robots are also seen in Sega Superstars Tennis.[3] In Sonic Unleashed, Eggman began deploying Egg Fighters and their variants. It is believed, but unconfirmed that they are the successors to the Egg Pawn. However, Eggman returned to using the Egg Pawn in Sonic Colors, so these must be his preference.

Types of Eggman Robots

Individuals

Metal Sonic is the evil "robotic counterpart" of Sonic the Hedgehog, created by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. As well as resembling Sonic, he can also perform many of Sonic's moves, including his homing attack. Metal Sonic is always on the dark side throughout the series except Sonic Rivals 2, where he takes a protagonistic role as a playable character. Metal Sonic is aggressive and very cold hearted. For a long time he has acted more or less as Eggman's slave, but after turning against his master in Sonic Heroes it became clear he is actually a very controlling person, who views himself as superior to others and wishes to rule over them. He is also completely obsessed with the idea that he is the better Sonic in every way. It is also shown that Metal Sonic's "fingers" are more like "claws", because they are very sharp. In Sonic Heroes he even goes as far as calling Sonic "my loathsome copy", as well as desperately shouting "I am the real Sonic!" when he is defeated by Team Super Sonic. He also says "Sonic, I was created for the sole purpose of destroying you", near the middle of the fight, raising questions as to how Metal Sonic can both believe himself to be the real Sonic and at the same time acknowledge his existence as a mechanical copy of Sonic, it can be thought that Metal, thinks that even though he was created he believes he's the real Sonic. However, in Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, his personality is slightly different. He seems to be rather sane and acts rather solo than compared with himself in Sonic Heroes. Nearing the end, he falls into magma after an epic battle with Sonic. Sonic attempts to save him, but Metal does not accept, replying "there is only one Sonic". He is then destroyed in the magma, and this implies that Metal, though he was programmed for evil and reprogrammed by Tails, thinks on his own. It was also stated by Tails that Metal Sonic received Sonic's personality traits and memories when Sonic's data was transferred into Metal Sonic's. Metal's gain some independence, as seen in Sonic Free Riders when he goes inside Team Dark's new robot Power Member: E-10000B, even without Eggman knowing! Metal after a failed race (also known as the rematch Sonic offers in Sonic Heroes) he runs off, and is planned to reappear in Sonic Generations, his intentions are unknown. Being a robotic clone of Sonic, Metal Sonic has access to many of Sonic's powers and abilities. He can utilize the Spin Dash (albeit a far more deadly circular saw variation) and the Homing Attack, and can also jump higher and farther than Sonic, and match or even exceed his speed; though many games actually depict Metal Sonic as being faster than Sonic, it is countered by his poor traction and braking abilities. He can achieve 4 times the accelerating speed of "early" Sonic when the circuits are overloaded. (Metal Sonic was possibly created before Robotnik knew about Sonic's Spindash and Super Peelout techniques.) When the energy overloads the circuitry, blue-white sparks spout from Metal Sonic. The reaction is called "V. Maximum Overdrive Attack" and its power can penetrate any substance. However, the V. Maximum Overdrive Attack cannot be sustained because of its unfavorable cost performance and potential to destroy Metal Sonic himself. In addition, Metal Sonic can also use his radiation attack called Ring Spark Field, but this also has its drawbacks. This attack affects speed, since electric power is released to the outside. In addition to Sonic's abilities, Metal has numerous personal capabilities. He can fire laser blasts from the cannon in his chest, fly by utilizing the rocket in his back, stretch his arms and legs to great lengths and strike from a distance, generate powerful electricity from his body, and Metal Sonic can generate a diamond-shaped force field (dubbed the "Black Shield") to protect himself. His most powerful and impressive ability is that he can scan other characters, copy their life data into himself, and immediately and flawlessly replicate not only their abilities, but also form himself to look and sound exactly like them (this is how he tricked everyone into believing he was Eggman in Sonic Heroes and also the reason Team Rose believed Sonic to have Froggy and Chocola with him in that same game). Using the data he acquired from Sonic, Shadow, and Chaos, as well as parts of Eggman's other machines, he is able to transform into Metal Madness, a superpowerful version of himself resembling a metal Perfect Chaos with a grenade launcher and flamethrower, and then into Metal Overlord, where he gains wings in addition to the other parts. Eggman states that he is so powerful in this state that they have a slim chance of beating him, even with all seven Chaos Emeralds.

Captain Whisker is a villainous robot pirate who appeared in Sonic Rush Adventure, in which he initially seems to be the main antagonist.[1] He was created by Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega, whom he greatly resembles, and resides in Blaze the Cat's home dimension. Whisker and his band of pirates (JohnnyMini, and Mum) are out to cause havoc on the seas, and intend to use an ancient artifact called the Jeweled Scepter to awaken an unnamed entity, and use its power to conquer. However, despite their claims, the pirates are not very intimidating, and are generally clownish and bumbling (possibly a reference to the comical villains fromAdventures of Sonic the Hedgehog); he also always forgets about Sonic and others. Despite this, Whisker is an incredible force in battle: he can breathe fire, manifest saws, shoot his fists like boomerangs and use shockwave-inducing ground pounds. He takes a special dislike of any characters who have pulled on his "whiskers", at least when either Mini or Mum remind him. He also tends to talk too much, usually giving away important information like how to unlock the door in the undersea cavern. Captain Whisker's fate after the Ghost Titan fight is unknown, although it is possible he was destroyed along with the Ghost Titan or sunk along with the Big Swell (as implied by Blaze's line about the Jeweled Scepter, which was in Whiskers's possession before Marine took it, "It probably sank along with the pirates.")

SCR-HD was a robot produced by MeteoTech who appeared in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, and essentially the antagonist. It contained an Ark of the Cosmos until it spontaneously exploded, and was taken by Storm. SCR-HD was the leader of the more common, mass-produced SCR-GP, and used its own Ark of the Cosmos, as well as the one in Eggman's master computer, to command all the MeteoTech robots. SCR-HD was first encountered by Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles while they were making their way to Megalo Station. It, as well as several SCR-GP, pursued Sonic and co. until they fell from a window. While falling, Sonic unintentionally activated his Ark of the Cosmos and was saved from the fall. SCR-HD, as well as 6 SCR-GP raced Sonic through Megalo Station, and were defeated. Its next appearance was when it attacked Storm and Amy in Aquatic Capital/Tempest Waterway. However, before it could fight them, it mysteriously exploded, and its Ark of the Cosmos was taken by Storm. It appeared again in the Security Hall where it broke in after the race and stole all 5 Arks of the Cosmos from Wave. It then flew away to the Babylon Garden, which was transformed into Astral Babylon by the 5 Arks. SCR-HD then transformed into Master Core: ABIS, and battled everyone on the Mobius Strip. It was defeated, and fell into a black hole, where it was presumably destroyed. SCR-HD is unlockable in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity by beating it in Free Race Mode. It, like SCR-GP, doesn't ride an Extreme Gear, and simply curls itself into a wheel. Because only one is seen in the story, it is unknown if it is mass produced like the SCR-GP.

Eggman's Drone is one of the mission-assigning companion characters from Shadow the Hedgehog (game), conveying the orders of Doctor Eggman to Shadow (since, unlike the rest of the characters, Eggman is hardly spry enough to tag along on Shadow's adventures personally). The floating pod sports gyrating telecommmunication dishes and a central TV screen of The Doctor himself.

Gemerl also known as G-Mel, Gemel, and other variations (there is no official English name)[1], is an Eggman mech who debuted in the Game Boy Advance game Sonic Advance 3. Gemerl would serve as a secondary antagonist throughout the game: Gemerl had the ability to "merge" with other machines, and as such co-piloted all of Eggman's boss vehicles. Also, Sonic and co. fight against him in Act 3 of Sunset Hill, Toy Kingdom, and Cyber Track; and also as a miniboss in Route 99 and Altar Emerald. Gemerl has a black, yellow, and grey body and red and blue eyes. Unlike Emerl however, he also has several sharp fin-like objects attached to his arms, legs and head, which he presumably uses to cause damage as he performs dashing attacks. Gemerl bears a great deal of resemblance to (and derives his name from) Emerl, the prototype Nocturnus Gizoid whose development forms the core of Sonic Battle's story. It is stated that Dr. Eggman created Gemerl from Emerl's "data"[2], which would seem to imply that Gemerl is merely an advanced Phi robot. However, events later in the game would suggest that Gemerl incorporates some of Emerl's hardware and memories, indicating that he is in fact be a partial rebuild of the Gizoid. Unlike Emerl, Gemerl often uses his jetpack, either to fly momentarily, move around the arena at speed, or to perform powerful midair spin attacks. He can also teleport, fire barrages of missiles, and create a red energy shield around himself. Gemerl appears as the true final boss of the game if the player has collected all the Chaos Emeralds. The Emeralds cause Gemerl to become unstable and destructive, in much the same way as Emerl's destabilization in Sonic Battle as Emerl. Gemerl betrays Eggman by throwing him at Sonic, then escapes and transforms into an orb shaped machine. Sonic turns into Super Sonic and teams up with Eggman to fight Gemerl in the final boss, Nonaggression. (Notably, the music that plays during the Nonagression stage is a remix of Emerl's theme from Sonic Battle, also the song used in Emerl's stage, "Colosseum".) This orb form of Gemerl had four extendable arms with claw-like hands that could fire energy beams and missiles. His only weak point is his gem, which is protected and impossible to harm unless Super Sonic charges Eggman's Egg Mobile with energy and throws him at Gemerl. After he is defeated, Cream the Rabbit and her mother, Vanilla, find his broken body on the beach, and take him to Tails. Tails then proceeds to repair Gemerl, who seemingly remembers Cream, becoming her friend.

Metal Knuckles is a robotic version of Knuckles who appeared in Sonic R as a unlockable character. It was created by Dr. Robotnik, and its abilities are similar to Knuckles'. In Sonic R, to unlock him, the player needs to collect all 5 Sonic tokens in Reactive Factory, then beat him in a one-on-one race.Sonic Channel featured a Japanese Profile of Metal Knuckles. Translated, it states, As with Sonic, Eggman prepared this secret weapon for the sake of overthrowing Knuckles, considering his existence to be a hindrance. Having the same power plant as Metal Sonic, speed and acceleration power are high, but like Knuckles, this robot can glide from high places. Appearance requirements: Collect 5 tokens in Reactive Factory in Grand Prix mode and finish better than fourth place to begin a one-on-one match with Metal Knuckles. Win this race and Metal Knuckles will become a possible choice on the character select screen.

Silver Sonic is the robotic version of Sonic the Hedgehog that appeared in Death Egg Zone, and like all bosses in the Master System/Game Gear version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 game, without any rings for protection. It is apparently an early version of Metal Sonic, a better known robotic double of Sonic. Silver Sonic resembles the original Sonic, although he is slightly taller. He is a metallic grey color and possesses many of Sonic's moves, including the spin-jump, though it has a few abilities of its own. Thankfully, Sonic is more nimble and can guard against most of its attacks. Once defeated, Silver Sonic was destroyed, and Sonic faced Robotnik in the final battle. A more well-known Sonic robot resembling Silver Sonic was featured in the 16-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which was actually released later than the 8-bit game. While it was never officially referred to as Silver Sonic and was in fact only known as Mecha Sonic in Japanese materials, it is very similar to the other model. In this appearance, it is the first line of defense aboard the Death Egg. It is apparently clunkier and may have been remote controlled by Robotnik, but it is more combat-capable and would be able to instantly shred Sonic with its saw-blade spikes. In order to defeat him, Sonic must strike him eight times while avoiding his spikes (not easy considering there are once again no rings in this zone).

Heavy is a clunky, silver robot with red oven mitts for hands and gray/black body, who resembles a Coffee Kettle and was Doctor Eggman's chief mechanic. In the game, Heavy was invincible to all attacks, could destroy badniks by just touching them, and could walk on spikes without being hurt, but (as his name suggests) is extremely heavy, causing him to be very slow and unable to jump very high. Heavy's invincibility, however, is actually very handy when used in combination with Charmy's flying (as long as Charmy is the leader).

Bomb is a small, black and red bomb robot with arms and legs. His abilities are the reverse of that of Heavy: He is very weak, and explodes when hit (albeit he can regenerate himself almost immediately afterward, while the explosion can damage both enemies and his ally) but is rather quick on his feet (though not anywhere near as fast as Espio) and has a decent height jump. The two robots claimed to have escaped from the clutches of the evil Dr. Eggman, and are simply trying to help Knuckles and his friends. However no one knows if they speak the truth or if they were simply planted by Eggman to slow them down. After Eggman's demise at Newtrogic High, the duo disappeared and has not been seen since.

E-100 series

The E-Series are a group of robots created by Doctor Eggman, who uses them in his quest to conquer the world. They are considered to be elite versions of the Badnik robots Eggman used in earier games. The name was first used in Sonic Adventure, and almost all of Eggman's robots between Sonic Adventure and Sonic Heroes were given an E-Series designation. The most famous E-Series robots are the E-100 Seriesfrom Sonic Adventure, particularly E-102 Gamma (who was a playable character in that game) and E-123 Omega(who has been a recurring character since his introduction in Sonic Heroes). The E-Series is the last series of Eggman's robots to use captured animals as a power source (referred to in some continuities as an organic battery), with more recent efforts such as the mass-produced Egg Pawn series no longer using animals in this way.

E-100 Alpha, better known as ZERO (sometimes with the added title The Chase Master after the name of his song on the soundtrack) is a large red-eyed floating green robot that resembles a trash can with large arms that tries to recover Chaos Emeralds and appeared in Sonic Adventure. Although he is called an E-Series robot in the games or Sonic X, he was listed as "E-100 Alpha" on the Sonic Adventure website accessed via Dreamcast. Unlike the other E-100 series robots it does not have "E-100" on its body, but instead it has "E" on both sides of his body. Also, the headlight on ZERO is on his shoulder, in contrast to the other E-100's in which it is on their mid-section. ZERO is also not powered by an animal like the other E-100 robots, as nothing is seen escaping from its body after its destruction. ZERO differed greatly from the other E-100 robots as he lacked a projectile weapon of any sort, mainly relying on his extending fists to attack its foes. It also possessed impressive strength, able to smash through walls in pursuit of Amy. It also had strong defensive strength, as Amy could only inflict damage by electrocuting it. It pursued its prey with a single-minded tenacity, even after the Flicky's Chaos Emerald had been removed. This also made it possible to trick it, as Amy could hide beneath barrels or around obstacles to elude it. In Sonic Adventure, ZERO made his debut by chasing a blueFlicky in the possession of a Chaos Emerald that has taken refuge with Amy Rose. ZERO chased Amy around Station Square, Twinkle Park, the Egg Carrier, Hot Shelter, and finally, the Final Egg base in the Mystic Ruins. When he went back to the Egg Carrier, he saw Amy and the Flicky with the bird's relatives, who were inside E-101 Beta and E-102 Gamma. ZERO then attacked and knocked out the small Flicky. Amy who was furious at him and thinking the Flicky was dead due to the attack, attacked ZERO and finally destroyed him after smashing his head with her hammer, knocking him into an electric fence that fried his circuit

E-101 Beta (β) is a silver and black bipedal robot that was created for the E-100 army by Doctor Eggman. He has two guided missile-launchers on his arms. Eggman defined Beta as E-102 Gamma's "big brother", and decided to pit Beta and Gamma against each other to determine which robot would be fit to serve under him on the Egg Carrier. Gamma ultimately goes on to defeat Beta and his design is cloned for the remaining Egg Carrier crew - DeltaEpsilon andZeta. The obsolete Beta was relegated to the storage area to be used as "spare parts". Unhappy with his incompetent design, Eggman begins work on remodeling him into E-101mkII (E-101). The parts left over from Beta's remodeling were apparently used on E-103 Delta. During his time in storage, Beta underwent extreme reconstruction into a highly advanced "Mark 2" (MKII) model, taking the form of an airborne fighting machine, enhanced in almost every way over his previous model. Some of his new features included more advanced homing missiles, laser cannon arms, and large spiked gauntlets used for charging attacks. E-101 MKII navigated with jets and a tail-like rudder, and employed an advanced tracking system in his head, taking the form of a single green camera "eye". E-101 MKII's improved fighting capabilities granted it the ability to create rainbow-coloured force fields, fire a spread of several (ranging from 2 to 10) guided missiles to chase down moving targets, and fire powerful energy blasts from great distances using its new cannons, which would explode on contact with the ground. It was also much more agile than its previous form, being able to dodge missiles at extreme speed (leaving afterimages in its wake), and even still, could also simply bat away missiles with its shield-like gauntlets

E-102 Gamma is a fictional character in theSonic the Hedgehog universe. He is 215 cm (7ft 1in) tall, weighs precisely 825.256 kg (1819.378 lb)[2], and wields a machine gun on his right arm that can transform into a 15.5 cm smart missile launcher. His character designer was either Yuji Uekawa orTakashi Iizuka. He was first introduced in the game Sonic Adventure as a playable character. Being a robot, he has no gender, but Amy refers to him as a "he" when she stops the fight between Sonic and Gamma, and his voice actor is male as well. Gamma's gameplay involves the player utilizing his missile launcher to destroy enemies and eventually reach a boss/target within a given time limit. The more enemies the player destroys, the larger the score and extension of time for the given level. When Gamma reaches high speed, he crouches so he can roll on a set of wheels behind his feet.

E-103 Delta (δ)  is the third of the E-100 Seriesrobots constructed by Doctor Eggman. He appeared in Sonic Adventure, in which he plays a minor role in E-102 Gamma's story as a boss. He resembles the other E-Series robots, except that he is silver and blue in color. Delta stands 7'1" (2.15900 cm) and weighs 1819 lbs (825.084521 kg). He has the dual rocket launchers like Beta, but in addition it has a jetpack built into itself for short range flight. Delta also appears in Sonic X. Along with his brother E-Series robots (E-102 Gamma, E-104 Epsilon, and E-105 Zeta), Delta was sent by Doctor Eggman to retrieve Froggy, who had swallowed a Chaos Emerald. When Delta failed to locate the correct frog, Eggman banished him from the Egg Carrier along with Epsilon. He stares at Gamma as he is teleported away, but it is unknown whether any feelings were stirred in the robots. It is later revealed that he was abandoned at the Windy Valley. Gamma later tracked Delta down, intending to "rescue" Delta by destroying him, thus releasing the animal trapped inside him. The two brothers battled, and Gamma emerged victorious. Delta was destroyed and the animal inside him was freed. At first, Delta is a clone of Gamma (except for the color), with just one cannon arm and a hand. After being discarded by Eggman, he inherits E-101 Beta's twin missile launchers and jet booster. The animal inside Delta was a parrot.

E-104 Epsilon (ε) is an orange robot, modeled after the Beta model, E-101. E-104 Epsilon is equipped with twin STINGER missile launchers on the arms, which are useful for taking out moving air targets. Like E-103 Delta, Epsilon was first a recolored clone of Gamma, but after being discarded, he was equipped with upgraded twin stinger missile launchers. After Gamma was proved superior, Epsilon was teleported to an unknown location along with Delta and E-105 Zeta. Later, Gamma found Epsilon in a lava-filled cave in Red Mountain on Angel Island. The two fought, and Gamma emerged victorious. A bird inside was released after Epsilon was relieved of duty.

E-105 Zeta (ζ) is an E-Series robot constructed to serve onboard the Egg Carrier. Initially he is a re-colored clone ofE-102 Gamma, but later goes through severe alteration and reconstruction to a considerably larger stationary defense unit, built into the core of the Egg Carrier. Despite being much more advanced, the stationary Zeta is destroyed by Gamma in the Hot Shelter onboard the Egg Carrier, releasing the trapped animal inside after Zeta's head exploded. The lower half of Zeta's frame is built out of Sega Dreamcasts, inserted by Sonic Team as an Easter Egg. This is in all the Dreamcast, Gamecube, and PC versions. In Sonic XE-101 Beta replaced much of Zeta's role, so much that in fact, Zeta only appears on the show in episode 31, "Revenge of the Robot". This is when Gamma comes to the Hot Shelter to destroy him.

E-123 Omega, or technically, E-123 Ω, is a fictional robot from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game universe, first appearing as a fully playable character in the multiplatform game Sonic Heroes, which was first released in Japan on December 30th,2003. Omega was created by Takashi Iizuka and designed and modeled by Nobuhiko Honda at Sonic Team USA. Omega has helped Shadow (and to a lesser extent, Rouge) in five Sonic games, and while not being a major character, is popular enough in his own right and has established himself as a main character. Recently, however, he has made less appearances and his only role in the mainstream canon games seems to be as a teammate to Shadow and Rouge. Although, he has been making more appearances in spin-offs such as Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, minor cameos and also made his debut in the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics' universe in April 2009, so his number of appearances could increase. He bears a strong resemblance to another character in the series, E-102 Gamma (a possible design inspiration), who is part of the same robotics production line in the series. In the games, he was created by Doctor Eggman, and is out to destroy him due to lack of respect and has a lust for revenge. Omega is 150cm tall (4ft 11in) and weighs a hefty 1,230.512kg (2712.77lbs) making him the heaviest character in the Sonic series.[2] He has the capital Omega symbol (Ω) painted on the front of his left shoulder, in contrast to all the other E-100s, which had lowercase Greek letters. This may be to show that Omega is the most powerful of Eggman's E-Series (though the original set ofE-100 series from Sonic Adventure had various Greek symbols), or because the character's designer felt that the capital letter was more noticeable and well-known than the lowercase (ω).

Mass-produced Robots

The Egg Gunner is an enemy in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), it is also one of the game's most common enemy. It is a white robot, with a propulsion system that allows it to hover, it also has a machine gun mounted to the right arm, missile to the left. It has blue lights for eyes. It also has two other variants, the Egg Lancer, and the Egg Stinger.

Shadow Androids are robots created by Doctor Eggman that resemble Shadow the Hedgehog. They first appear in Sonic Heroes seen in tubes and again in Shadow the Hedgehog as enemies. They rival Shadow's abilities almost completely and they never attack alone. They shoot with missiles from their hands as to hone all of Sonic and Shadow's physical combat skills, but are incomplete, and are very buggy in close combat, but can still make up for it in high speed battles. Eggman apparently discontinued the production of these robots, and the reason for this is unknown. Presumably, E-123 Omega could have destroyed so many of them that he had none left after the events of Shadow the Hedgehog, or he couldn't make anymore because he himself had ordered Team Chaotix to destroy as many of the tubes they were stored in as they could find. Shadow Androids could be analogous to Shadow as Metal Sonic is analogous to Sonic except Shadow Androids look exactly like Shadow. They appear to have no ability of speech. However, the Multiplayer Androids of Shadow the Hedgehog were able to speak. The ones that can speak all similarly mimic the real Shadow by calling other Shadow Androids "fakers." The Shadow Androids made their debut in Sonic Heroes at the ending of Team Dark's story. After the trio had defeated Dr. Eggman and his Egg Emperor (really Metal Sonic pretending to be Eggman), Rouge the Bat went in search of the Doctor's rumored treasure trove on the flagship of the Egg Fleet. What she found was actually a room packed with row after row of Shadow Androids suspended in tubes just like the one she had discovered the real Shadow in. E-123 Omega then walked in and stated his intention to destroy the entire place, but before then, he revealed to a distraught Rouge that the Shadow Androids were part of a cloning project by Eggman, and that the original must exist somewhere. With this new information, Rouge left Omega to his work. Whether Omega successfully destroyed the room and its Shadow Androids or got side-tracked after the Metal Overlord appeared is unknown. The Shadow Androids reappeared serving Eggman as part of his army in Shadow the Hedgehog. They first appeared in the Iron Jungle stage, and Shadow came face-to-face with a troop of them while they were receiving their orders from Eggman about how to take care of the Black Arms. The Shadow Androids mainly appeared within rooms of the Iron Jungle base and attacked the real Shadow in groups of three and later tried to assist Eggman when he battled Shadow and Omega in his Egg Breaker. They then tried to keep Shadow out when he infiltrated Eggman's Lava Shelter in his new quest to destroy Eggman. In the multiplayer mode of Shadow the Hedgehog's self-titled game, five robotic versions of Shadow, along with the real Shadow the Hedgehog, were allowed to be played. They all claimed to be the real Shadow, and that the others were fake. One was simply a Shadow Android with yellow stripes, gloves, and shoes. The others were silver, resembling Metal Sonic, but with different stripe colors ranging from blue, orange, pink, and green. Two of them had a modified grenade launcher and the other two had rapid-fire machine-guns, and the weapons were non-removable, while they had infinite ammunition. However, it is debatable if the yellow android was really a robot, if the red one was really Shadow and if they were created by Eggman or not. Shadow Androids seem to have all the physical capability of Shadow and can take more damage than the average Egg Pawn. They fire tracer missiles from their hands and can defend themselves from physical attack by jumping and mimicking the homing attack, so the only way to defeat them is with a weapon or the spin dash. The Shadow Androids seem to be the only enemies that Shadow encounters that are resistant to punches or kicks. The multiplayer Shadow Androids can move at great speed just like Shadow. The ones that look more organic can use a variety of weapons, while the metal ones have unlimited ammunition in the form of bullets and explosive shells. The colors of the Androids can be red like Shadow, or tan. The robotic Shadow Androids can range from a color such as pink, blue, green, and orange. However, the robotic Androids cannot pick up any weapons, as the weapon they use is merged into their arm, disabling the use to pick up another weapon. Also the Shadow Androids appear to talk identically to the real Shadow Unlike many other of Eggman machines like Metal Sonic and E-123 Omega.

E-121 Phi (φ)  is an Emerl-based robot made byDoctor Eggman. Dr. Eggman took Emerl's data and copied it as stated in Rouge's story mode. The Phi robots are powered byChaos Emerald Shards, rather than whole Chaos Emeralds. The only physical difference between Phi and Emerl is Phi's grey hue and brown eyes, as opposed to Emerl's yellow and blue. The Phi's ability to copy attacks is identical to that of Emerl, but since the ability is only powered by Chaos Emerald Shards, as a whole it is weaker than Emerl's. At first they don't have much vocabulary, repeating one word while speaking, such as "Located! Located!" But later, they're able to speak more fluently, such as "Captured! I will capture you! I will capture you for Dr. Eggman!" Unlike Emerl, Phi has all the abilities of one character, instead of a combination of skills mixed up together. That means they are unable to learn Ultimate skills or Combo skills.

The Egg Lancer is another version of the Egg Gunner. It is blue, and has a laser cannon and a machine instead of missles, the lasers can't make sharp turns, but can be dangerous to the player in open areas. The Lancers have stronger armor, taking two hits to destroy, the Lancers can be very dangerous if surrounded by them.

The Egg Stingers are yet another variant of the Egg Gunner. They can be identified by their missile launchers instead machine guns, or lasers, and their red paints instead of white or blue paint. Like the normal gunners, they have little armor, so one hit could easily destroy them. Like the Lancers, they can be very hard to defeat if you are surrounded by them.

During the kingdom valley stages, you may encounter Egg Elites that look like the Gunner/Lancer/Stinger, but instead have two rockets on arch arm instead of one main weapon, then a machine gun. These variants are not mentioned in the prima strategy guides enemy pages, instead they are just called "Robots". These versions take Three hits to defeat. Like all Eggman enemies in the game, the first part of their name would be Egg, and the second part is unknown, although it could be Launcher, or Rocket, but for now, their name is unknown. The third variants rockets are so strong that they are ejected far from your character's body.

The Egg Fighter is the main model of the robots that appear in Sonic Unleashed. It could wield a buzz-saw sword, normal shield, an electric shield, and/or a spring shield. Each has a variety of attacks, depending on the variation. Egg Shooters look like the Egg Fighters but their body has a different color and they can shoot lasers. Egg Launchers also resemble Egg Fighters, but they fire missiles at Sonic. Egg Fighters are accompanied by some powerful robots like the Aero Chasers, which were robots with jet packs and lasers, and finally the Interceptor, a huge robot that flew and dogged Sonic through many stages Egg Fighter also returns as an enemy on Rooftop Run in Sonic Generations

The Egg Launcher is an enemy from Sonic Unleashed. Their arms (or backs) serves as missile launchers. Once Sonic travels within proximity to an Egg Launcher, the robot will target Sonic for a second, then fire one of its missiles.

Guard Robos are robots built by Doctor Eggman in the video game Sonic Battle. According to Rouge, Eggman built these robots to sell them to make some extra cash. They are encountered numerous times in the game in areas such as Central City and Night Babylon where they are protecting areas like a lab, bar, casino, etc. Rouge also uses them as practice robots when she's training Emerl to be a master thief. They appear to resemble and have the same attacks as Chaos Gamma. They are also similar to the E-121 Phi robots, both being a black/gray/white color, but both being a copy of someone else (Guard Robo being a copy of Gamma and Phi being a copy of Emerl).

The Aero Chaser is an enemy from Sonic Unleashed. Unlike most enemies, Soniccan't attack them directly; he has to boost into other Egg Fighters littering the course being followed and knock them into the Aero Chasers to destroy them. Sometimes, they simply run into a pillar or a wall behind them, destroying themselves quickly. They, however, spawn more Aero Chasers when defeated. They return in Sonic Colors, but this time, they resemble green Egg Pawns and they only shoot lasers. Just like in Sonic Unleashed, the only way Sonic can defeat them is boosting and knocking Egg Pawns scattered across the path into them; or the Chasers will annihilate themselves by running into a wall or ceiling. The Aero Chaser's primary method of attack involves firing a large laser at Sonic, which he must dodge by doing a Quick Step. Other means of offense include a small wall of fire, also dodgeable by Quick Stepping, and an electric gate, which must be jumped over.

The Little Fighter is a robot created by Doctor Eggman in the game Sonic Unleashed. These little robots are the dismembered hands of broken or defeated Egg Fighters, that were programmed with an autonomous AI which allows them to still function when they are detached from their former body.

Egg Pawns first appeared in the game Sonic Heroes and are a part of Dr Eggman's E-Series, his latest series of Badniks. They come in different varieties, each having its own unique abilities, and serve as Eggman's foot soldiers. They also may come equiped with a lance, machine gun, or laser. Some of them have shields that can come in three diferent styles: rock, metal, and heavy metal. Egg Pawns carrying lances will charge you while the ones wielding lasers and machine guns will fire without changing position. These weapons can also be used by Shadow in the game Shadow the Hedgehog. They can be picked up from defeated Egg Pawns. The Egg Pawns are also the first type of Eggman Robots that are not powered by animals. Egg Pawns also serve as enemies in Sonic Rush. This time, they had different colour schemes to match the weapon (or, indeed, no weapon) they carried and in this game they're powered by Animals unlike the other games. In Sonic Heroes, there was also another enemy known as the Egg Flapper. These enemies look similar to Egg Pawns, except they fly. Again, they were featured in Sonic Rush. and they also appear in Sonic and the Black Knight as enemies in the legacy missions. They serve as the only enemies that can be destroyed with a homing attack. The Egg Flappers cannot be destroyed by any sword attacks, possibly due to not being in Arthurian Legends. The Egg Pawn also shares more than a passing resemblance to EggRobo. Also new enemies in Sonic Unleashed called Egg Fighters and its variants seem to be the equivalent to Egg Pawns as they bear a similar appearance. Egg Pawns wield rapid fire blasters, single shot cannons and lances in Sonic Heroes, semi automatic blasters and bazookas and lances in Shadow the Hedgehog (they use the same models from Heroes) and in Sonic Heroes, Egg Pawns also carry shields sometimes which can be rectangular, round with spikes, or stone.

The Egg Knights are gold plated Egg Pawns that typically wield lances and lead a small group of Egg Pawns. They have more stamina than ordinary Egg Pawns and are usually found in positions where it is difficult to reach them without alerting any regular Egg Pawns nearby. This is because the destruction of an Egg Knight will result in any and all Egg Pawns in the nearby area being automatically destroyed with it.

The E-1002 Egg Flapper is a robot first used by the Eggman Empire in Sonic Heroes, and are part of Eggman's E-Series. Their bodies look like Egg Pawns, but they have wings and turbines instead of arms and legs. They resemble airplanes and use jet engines to keep themselves afloat. After the Egg Pawns, these robots are the most recuring enemy in recent Sonic games. In Sonic Heroes, Egg Flappers come in a variety of models, each with a different ability or weapon. The easiest way to destroy them is by using Thunder Shoot to knock them out of the sky, leaving them open to any attack. Although, if Thunder Shoot is leveled up to Level 3, then it may be enough to destroy a Flapper in one shot. There are many different kinds of Flappers that are equipped with different weapons and come in a variety of colors.

The E-1003 Cameron is a robot enemy in Sonic Heroes. They look like turtles, but have a cannon that deploys from the top when they notice you. They are completely retracted into their shell when asleep. Typically Camerons come in groups with Egg Pawns, one Cameron and around five Egg Pawns, though there can be more Egg Pawns. Camerons cannot be damaged by normal attacks when upright.

The E-1004 Klagen, also called "jellyfish robot", is an E-Series robot that appears in Sonic Heroes. They capture team members, and you must destroy them to free the captured team member. Klagens are grey robots with a sci-fi UFO looking disc for a head, two arms that hang down, two discs at the end of the arms that capture a team member. There is a gold variant that teleports the captured team member to a location farther ahead in the level after a set period of time being captured.

The E-1006 Egg Hammer is a large E-Series robot in Sonic Heroes. It is grey and silver, tall, and wields a large hammer. They are not encountered commonly. They swing their hammers and upper torsos in a few 360° circles and loses its balance, or slams the hammer down, use a power character to attack the Egg Hammer while it is off balance.

The E-1007 Heavy Egg Hammer is simply a larger version and tougher version of the Egg Hammer. It is heavily armored and cannot be hurt except by attacking its head with a Power character's Fire Dunk; even then, Thunder Shoot must be used to knock the robot's helmet off before it will take damage.

The E-1008 Falco is a flying robot that bears a great resemblance to the Egg Hawk. It flies over the player and does not do any damage unless touched. Most of them will fly at high speeds' but they may fly at lower speeds as seen in the Team Chaotix Robot Storm Level. Most will carry Egg Pawns into the battle, who will attack the player immediately.

Egg Walkers are combat automatons constructed by Dr. Eggman, and was deployed by the mad scientist in and around Soleanna during Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It's an advanced model of the Egg Cannon, though they lack flying abilities. The Egg Walker is equpped with twin laser cannons that fire energy beams in a straight line.

The Egg Cannon is a blue walker robot created by Doctor Eggman to kill Sonic during the events of Sonic the Hedgehog(2006). The walker has several weapons, including lasers on its arms, missles, and drills amongst the feet. The robot's main weak point is its core, which is perched atop its legs. The Egg Cannon has superior armor compared the other robots such as the Egg Gunners, and the Egg Flyers, as the cannon's armor takes several hits to destroy, while most of the others are weaker.

The Egg Busters are another version of the flyers. They have a similar body makeup, but their jets are tilted in a different way than the flyers. The busters have armor just as weak as the Egg Gunners, one hit can destroy either ones. The busters have the same weapons as the flyers, but their missiles are slow moving, thus making them easy to dodge. The busters are considered to be the advanced form of the flyers.

The Egg Flyer is an enemy from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) game. It is a hovering robot created by Dr. Eggman in order to kill Sonic. The flyers often appear in areas you can't cross easily without falling, like bottomless pits, or steep falls. They fire bullets and missiles as their two main weapons.

Egg Sweepers are blue combat robots deployed by Eggman in Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. It's an advanced model of the Egg Bomber. The Egg Sweeper is equipped with the same appendage to catapult explosive rounds at their enemies, is capable of moving in horizontal and vertical surfaces and has an invisibility mode. It's still easier to spot, as it has a disturbance effect around its outline. If it successfully attacks while invisible, it self-destructs for massive damage.

The Tails Doll (also mistakenly called Puppet Tails or Tails Puppet) is a robot/doll version of Tails built by Dr. Robotnik. He is comparable to Tails in the same way that Metal Sonic is comparable to Sonic. The Tails Doll has a metal rod protruding out of the top of its head that leads to a red gem that seems to control the robot's movements. The Tails Doll appeared only in Sonic R, as an unlockable character on the Radical City course by collecting 5 Sonic Tokens, finishing in at least third, then beating him in a race. He is known to be the slowest character in the game, but he can float over water like most of his metal allies, and he can also fly much longer than Tails can.

Egg Armors are combat automatons constructed by Dr. Eggman, deployed all around Soleanna throughout Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It's arguably a more advanced model of the Egg Bomber, encased in a thicker shell that protects them from enemy attack. The Egg Armor can transform between its crab-like shape, which takes 2 hits to defeat, and a sphere for increased mobility and powerful attacking, and takes several hits to destroy in this state.

Egg Bombers are combat automatons constructed by Dr. Eggman, deployed as robotic troops throughout Soleanna during the events of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It's a small, crab-like robot that can scurry on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. The Egg Bomber is equipped with an appendage built specifically for throwing small red exploding bombs at targets. It can only release one bomb at a time, and requires a few seconds to reload. The Egg Bomber has a poor defense, taking one hit to destroy. They rarely pose much of a threat as their bomb-hurling is both slow and inaccurate. Sonic and Shadow can easily dispatch hordes of these enemies with Homing Attack, while Silver can sweep them (and their munitions) up with his psychokinesis. It has two advanced models, a grey model, the Egg Sweeper , and a black model, the Egg Armor.

Egg Liners are combat automatons constructed by Dr. Eggman, deployed throughout Soleanna during the events in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It is similar in design to Rhinobot, featuring the same horned rhino chass is mounted onto a wheel and carry additional shields on either side to protect the wheel which can be put up as well. The Egg Chaser is equipped with bombs and two horns on its head which it uses to ram at enemies. It has weaker armor, taking one hit to destroy. The advanced model is the Egg Chaser.

Egg Chasers are combat automatons constructed by Dr. Eggman, deployed throughout Soleanna during the events in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It's an advanced model of the Egg Liner. The Egg Chaser is equipped with bombs and two horns on its head which it tries to ram an enemy with by charging at them. The Egg Chaser has heavier armor, taking two hits to destroy.

Egg Commanders are combat automatons constructed by Dr. Eggman, deployed throughout Soleanna during the events in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It is an advanced model of the Egg Rounder, colored blue and red and easily spot amongst the white Egg Rounders. The Egg Commander is always the leader of a group of Egg Rounders, so destroying an Egg Commander, destroys every Egg Rounder on screen. The Egg Commander can use the same defense and attacks as the Egg Rounder. It has some armor, taking two hits to destroy.

Egg Rounders are combat automatons constructed by Dr. Eggman, deployed throughout Soleanna during the events in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It is a short and bulky robot with two arms, that move either in straight or circle trajectories and are always clustered in packs. The Egg Rounder can use its arms to tackle its enemies and it has defense plates, which it can put up to deflect attacks. It has poor armor, taking one hit to destroy. It has an advanced model, the Egg Commander, which they are rarely seen without. The Egg Commander always acts as a leader to the Egg Rounders, so one the former is destroyed, all the Egg Rounders on screen are destroyed as well.

SCR-GP is a playable character in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. It is unlocked after the Babylon Rogues story is completed. Like SCR-HD he does not ride an Extreme Gear, but spins in a wheel. He is a Power type due to his weight. It is first seen in the intro cutscene when the mass-produced SCR-GP and their leader, SCR-HD are activated by one of the Arks of the Cosmos. They are next seen when they attack Sonic and friends on their way to Megalo Station and race Sonic through Megalo Station. They are then next seen chasing Sonic's team and the Babylon Rogues through MeteoTech after the teams raise an alarm. After this the SCR-GP robots are not really seen as the rest of both stories center on SCR-HD and Eggman.

E-10000R (called Robo 1 on the official American website) is a red robot built for speed, and according to the official Japanese Sonic Riders website, is equipped with the same kind of engine as Metal Sonic. The 'R' may stand for red. Right before the Egg Factory race of the Heroes Story Mode, E-10000R accidentally walks in on a fight between Knuckles and Storm, and gets severely damaged. In the Babylon Story Mode, it tried to capture the heroes with a gang of E-10000Gs. During this confrontation, it had visible damage from the earlier battle, meaning it was the same robot. It was presumably killed by the rockets of Tails's Gear as he took off after Knuckles, Wave, and Storm. E-10000R has the ability to split its head from its body to scare/strike opponents or simply attack them with its large fists. E-10000R's unique Extreme Gear is called E-GearR, and it can be unlocked as a playable character after 50 hours of gameplay.  Like all the other robots from the E-Series, this one has other robots that look similar to it, but in different colors. For example, E-10000G is the clone of E-10000R, but in the color green rather then red. Also, there are two other robots in the Egg Factory course that appear to be yellow or purple clones of E-10000R.

E-10000Y is an enemy robot seen in the Egg Factory level of Sonic Riders. It can not be played as, and is instead used as an obstacle. E-10000Y is small, yellow, and floats just above the ground as it has no legs. Its main purpose appears to try and capture intruders in Eggman's base, but they appear not to be able to tell the difference between intruders and Doctor Eggman, as they will attack even him when they see him. When playing Egg Factory's frozen version, Ice Factory, the robots are instead spraying ice around the factory, and are still obstacles. The 'Y' may stand for yellow. E-10000Y appears in Sonic Free Riders, but as a computer opponent only.

E-10000G (called Robo 2 on the official American website of Sonic Riders) is very similar to his "brother," except it is green and seems to be mass produced. E-10000G is a power type character in the game. However, when met as opponents in World Grand Prix in Story Mode, E-10000G has the power of speed, flight, and power characters. In Story Mode, E-10000G will fill in spots not used by other characters, since Doctor Eggman is the creator of the World Grand Prix. E-10000G is equipped with a large light in its body that it can use to blind opponents, and also punches enemies with its fists. E-10000G's unique Extreme Gear is called the E-GearG, and it is unlocked as a playable character by playing for 20 hours. The 'G' may stand for green. E-10000G also appears in Sonic Free Riders as a playable character.

Buzz Bomber was a first-generation Badnik created by Dr. Robotnik in the original Sonic the Hedgehog video game. It features in both the Genesis and Game Gear versions, more specifically in Green Hill Zone, Marble Zone, Spring Yard Zone and Bridge Zone. The Buzz Bomber resembles a mechanical wasp or similar species with a blue and black metal coloring. The stinger at the tip of its tail stores energy for use in attacks. Mechanical devices resembling wings give it the ability to hover. Engines installed at the bottom of the Badnik allow it to travel at very high speeds. Buzz Bombers glide across the landscapes of their territory, waiting for enemies to show themselves. When a Buzz Bomber targets an enemy, it will halt in mid-air, retract its stinger, and fire an orb of concentrated energy at the target. Sonic exploited their halting programming to his advantage, destroying them before they were able to fire.

Buzzer is a second generation Badnik created by Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive. Buzzers appear in Sonic Pocket Adventure. This Badnik also appears in Sonic Colors and Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Disappointed by his earlier Badnik design, the Buzz Bomber, Robotnik went to work on a new model of bee-like robots, called the Buzzer. There are many differences between the two. Although the stingers of both models work in a similar fashion, storing energy, the Buzzer's tends to more look wasp-like in design. The jet that propelled the Buzz Bomber, stored on its undercarriage, was moved to the top of the Buzzer, which unfortunately gave it a lower top speed. Also, whereas the Buzz Bomber was connected solidly throughout its design, the Buzzer was basically a head and abdomen connected to its rear end by a thin metallic pole, giving it an appearance physiologically similar to a mud dauber wasp. The Buzzer's standard colors were a red faceplate, black torso, and a typical yellow and black striped design for the back end where the stinger was located. The Buzzers are commonly paired together, although solo units are not necessarily uncommon. They drift lazily across the landscape until they find a target. When the target is sighted they will pivot their rear end, stinger extended, and fire a concentrated thermal energy ball at the enemy. Although slower than their precursor, the Buzz Bomber, the Buzzer were programmed to fire at more random intervals, making them less predictable when trying to avoid them. Sonic was easily able to kill them due to their low speeds.

Coconuts is a robot monkey from the early years of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. This particular Badnik was first seen in the Emerald Hill Zone stage of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, where he would be seen climbing up trees and throwing coconuts. He was named Aiai (アイアイ, Aiai?) in Japan. A similar badnik called Monkey Dude later appeared in the Angel Island Zone stage of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, also throwing coconuts from trees. True to his name, Coconuts would throw coconuts at Sonic and/or Tails whenever they passed by. Coconuts made a return in Sonic Blast except he went by his Japanese name, Aiai, Coconuts also appears in Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure in the Neo South Island Zone. This Badnik did not appear in any of the other primary Sonic games although a similar badnik named Kiki appeared in Sonic Adventure and its sequel.

Kiki is one of Eggman's robots from Sonic Advance and Sonic Advance 2. It appears identical to the robots E-01 Baby Kiki from Sonic Adventure and E-20 Kiki from Sonic Adventure 2. All three robots also resemble the Coconuts badnik from previous games, as they are all monkey robots that hang in trees and throw projectiles at the player, although Kiki throws explosives whereas Coconuts throws coconuts. Kiki also appears in certain mini games of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games being the Sonic equivalent to Goombas from the Mario Series.

E-01 Baby Kiki ,otherwise known as Kiki, is one of Eggman's robots from the game Sonic Adventure. Baby Kiki is a monkey robot that resembles the Coconuts badnik from the classic games. Kiki's usual method of attack is to hang in trees or other remote areas and throw bombs at the player. Baby Kiki appeared in Emerald Coast, Twinkle Park, Red Mountain and Hot Shelter. One Baby Kiki that is locked in a cage serves as the key to enter Red Mountain, and can only be destroyed by Sonic the Hedgehog's Light Speed Attack after finding the Ancient Light. A seemingly identical robot, named E-20 Kiki, later appeared in Sonic Adventure 2, and another simply named Kiki appeared in both Sonic Advance and Sonic Advance 2. The E-08 Kart Kiki from Sonic Adventure looks like Baby Kiki, but attacks by driving a bumper car towards enemies instead of by throwing projectiles. In Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Winter Games, Kiki appears in the DS Adventure Tour ruining a patch of flowers until Daisy beats him in a snowball fight. After this, Kiki opens a gate and retreats to get repaired.

E-20 Kiki is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure 2. From the name, it would appear to be an upgraded version of E-01 Baby Kiki, which appeared in Sonic Adventure and was itself based on the Coconuts badnik from earlier games. An apparently identical robot, simply named Kiki, also appeared in Sonic Advance and Sonic Advance 2. Like E-01 Baby Kiki, E-20 is a monkey robot that throws bombs at players who wander too close to it. These bombs can be proven useful, as they can be picked up and thrown to break cages that cannot be broken with basic moves.

Grounder is a red badnik that appears in the Aquatic Ruin Zone. It is similar in design to Burrobot from the original Sonic the Hedgehog. Grounder made a return in Aquatic Relix zone of Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure. Note that it is one of the few badniks in Sonic 2 that features the Eggman Empire symbol, upon it's shoulder armor.

Burrobot is a badnik from the original Sonic the Hedgehog game. It appeared in the Labyrinth Zone and in Act 3 of the Scrap Brain Zone. It also appears in Lost Labyrinth Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Burrobot is a digging robot which moves around on treadmills. It uses its drill-like nose to pop out from underground to surprise victims. It is vaguely based on the appearance of a mole. A more advanced version of the badnik, Grounder, appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and became a regular in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon series.

Orbinaut is a metal ball ringed by four spiked balls that it throws at its prey. This is its only method of attack, and also its greatest weakness, as once all four spiked balls have been thrown, Orbinaut is completely defenseless. It's most likely based off a sea urchin. Orbinaut also appeared in the comic adaptations of the games.

Unidus is a blue variety of Orbinaut that becomes red when a enemy is spotted and sends the four spiked balls around it forward to attack. It appears in the Labyrinth Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog. In North America Unidus is named Orbinaut in Sonic the Hedgehog and Spiky Spinner (see below) in Sonic Adventure.

Uni-Uni is a green variety of Orbinaut that keeps the four spiked balls around it for defense. It appears in the Star Light Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog and can only be defeated while Sonic is invincible or time your hit very carefully (or when Sonic takes a hit, he has a quick moment to hit it when he's flashing). It also appears in Aquarium Park on the DS version of Sonic Colors and in Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I. Like Unidus, Uni-Uni is named Orbinaut in the English version of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Gohla is a red variety of Orbinaut that has four fireballs (one in Sonic Blast) around it instead of spiked balls. It appears in the Hill Top Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Red Volcano Zone from Sonic Blast. He made a return in Red Mountain and Lost World from Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 in the Death Chamber. They also appeared in Sonic Advance 2 stage Hot Crater (2 player mode only).

Star Pointer appears in the Ice Cap Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and has four spiked ice balls around it. It sends the spiked balls forward to attack. Unlike projectiles from other variants of the Orbinaut, the ice balls will be destroyed with no ill effects to the controlled character if they have any shield or hitting contact with Knuckles' knuckles.

Orbinaut is a metallic gray variety and appears in the Launch Base Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 . It keeps the four spiked balls around it for defense, and only move when the player also move. It can only be defeated while the player is invincible or with a well-timed Insta-shield move by Sonic (or when Sonic takes a hit, he has a quick moment to hit it when he's flashing). Though the latter is hard to pull off, it is possible with correct timing.

Bubbles are spherical blue robots with a nozzle-like head that defend themselves by producing spikes all over their body.

Jaws/Jawz: Hovering shark robots that make no effort to attack the player. They simply fly in one direction slowly. Similar robots appeared in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Penguinator: A blue penguin robot that waddles towards the player very slowly.

Sandworm: A blue Caterkiller-like robot that jumps out of quicksand.

Skorp: A scorpion robot that has a mace for a tail. It can stretch its tail far to attack.

TechnoSqueak : A robotic mouse (literally a computer mouse) that scurries across the floor or ceiling.

Toxomister: An immobile pipe robot that emits a purple gas that causes the player to gradually lose rings.

The E-1000 is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure 2 and its remake, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. The E-1000 was a mass-produced variant of E-102 Gamma that served as normal Badnik-style enemies. The tips of its robotic feet are cyan instead of the original version's green. It had two arm cannons, instead of Gamma's one. However, despite having double the firepower, the E-1000 line's weaponry, with low-velocity projectiles and no homing feature, was generally far less effective than E-102's single missile launcher. They appear in Pyramid Cave, Egg Quarters and Death Chamber. When the robot is destroyed, the player is awarded with 200 points.

The E-06 (Bladed) Spinner is one of Eggman's most recurring robots in the Sonic series with its first appearance being Sonic Adventure. They are bat-like E-Series enemies that float in mid-air with giant spinning blades. There are more dangerous variations known as the E-15 Spiky Spinner or the E-16 Electro Spinner. Although the color varies, they are mainly purple. Since Sonic Advance 3, they have been absent from the games, but they then return in Sonic Unleashed with an upgraded appearance and retain their appearance in Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations. They actually act as a benefit for Sonic. By creating an Action Chain via the Homing Attack, Sonic can access hidden locations.

E-10 Cop Speeder is an E-Series robot that appears in Sonic Adventure, its remake, Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Generations. It appears in the Speed Highway action stage. The Cop Speeder is evidently based off a police car. It will turn on its sirens and searchlight when it spots an enemy and attempt to ram into them. It resembles the Kart Kiki enemies from the Twinkle Park stage (and both are driven by monkey robots resembling Baby Kiki), but the Cop Speeder has a much more aggressive attack pattern. This Badnik also appears in the game Sonic Generations on the Speed Highway stage. In Act 2, they chase Sonic while he runs down the skyscraper, but do not attempt to attack.

E-08 Kart Kiki is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure. It is a monkey robot, resembling E-01 Baby Kiki from the same game, that drives bumper cars and attacks enemies by ramming them. Kart Kiki appeared in the action stage Twinkle Park.

E-02 Rhino-Tank is one of Eggman's robots from the game Sonic Adventure. Rhino-Tank is a rhinoceros robot that charges at high speeds, and appears to be based on the Rhinobot from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. E-02 appears again in Sonic Advance with a new design. In Sonic Heroes, there are small, armored trains called E-1012 Rhino Liner that appears in Rail Canyon, Bullet Station, Egg Albatross, Mystic Mansion and Robot Storm. They have small cannon turrets on their back that bear a striking resemblance to Rhino-Tank.

E-1012 Rhino Liner is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Heroes. It appears in Rail Canyon and Bullet Station. The Rhino Liner is a train locomotive, fitted with armor that makes it resemble a rhinoceros. It thus resembles E-02 Rhino-Tank and the earlier Rhinobot, although those robots did not run on tracks. However, it can be destroyed with a single hit, or if it runs out of rail. It is as tall as Sonic, and three times as long. Rhino Liner has a cannon mounted to the top of the train. The cannon shoots black, spiked cannon balls. The Rhino Liner also possesses the ability to jump from rail to rail.

The E-1010 Egg Magician is an E-Series robot in Sonic Heroes. It has something of a split personality. It is encountered in Hang Castle and Mystic Mansion. It can be destroyed easily, however it steals your rings. It is grey, has a staff and a body like an Egg Pawn, but no legs, a skirt-like covering for the where the legs would be and its other "personality", the E-1009 Egg Bishop. It also has a mean expression on its "face". Use a speed class tornado move on the Egg Magician causes it to flip over and become an Egg Bishop.

The E-2000 is the latest E-Series robot at the time of Sonic Heroes. Its basic form is a red humanoid/hawk robot armed with a powerful energy cannon and a shield, along with the ability to transform into a plane-like shape. A yellow version which takes more damage also appears in the following level. They appear in the Egg Fleet and Final Fortress zones, the last levels of the game. Most of the time, if you attack the E-2000, it will hold up its shield so that you cannot damage it. If you wait awhile, the E-2000 will hold out its arm and fire a laser similar to a small version of the Red Laser fired in Final Fortress, and that's your chance to attack. Another way to get an opening is to use your tornado move and attack the E-2000 while it's stunned. The E-2000, as said in the article above, only appears in Sonic Heroes. It appears at the end of the Egg Fleet stage and all over the Final Fortress stage. If using Team Dark, two of them will appear on both sides of the Egg Emperor.

The E-2000R is a gold-colored variant of the regular E-2000, with extra armor and health. It only appears in Sonic Heroes, in the level Final Fortress for all teams.

E-28 Mecha Fish is an E-Series after E-27 Hyper Jet and before E-29 Egg Pirate. It is only shown in Big the Cat's fishing levels and usually weighs about 2000G. Its the only robot in Sonic Adventure that can not be destroyed, thus not containing animals. It usually appears in Twinkle Park and Emerald Coast.

E-29 Egg Pirate is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure and its remake, Sonic Adventure DX. It appears in Knuckles the Echidna's story in the level Casinopolis. Egg Pirates can be found running in circles on the ships above the main lobby of Casinopolis. When you defeat one, it doesn't release an animal, instead rings fall out.

E-15 Spiky Spinner (a.k.a. Spiked Spina and Unidus) is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure. It is an upgraded form of the E-06 Bladed Spinner, a bat robot that attacks enemies by spinning, except that it is plated with spiky armor (hence its name). It is similar to the Orbinaut enemies from earlier Sonic games and deploys its explosive spike ball shield at Sonic when he gets close enough.

E-07 Ice Ball is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure. It appears in the Ice Cap action stage. Ice Bot is a small purple robot that sprays ice at enemies.

E-05 Boa-Boa is an E-Series robot from Sonic Adventure. It is a floating purple caterpillar robot that emits flames from its sides every few seconds. Its design is derived from the Catakiller, Jr. badniks from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. It is most commonly found in the Windy Valley action stage. Boa-Boa's body is divided into segments, and if any segment is destroyed the entire robot will explode. Each segment can be targeted by Gamma and add time to his clock.

E-22 Beat is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure. It resembles a crab and appears in Sonic's story in the level Final Egg. Very large amounts are generated in certain rooms, where they all swarm Sonic and self-destruct on impact.

E-17 Ghora is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure. It appears in the Lost World and Red Mountain action stages. E-17 Ghora is a red sphere with flames circling it. It is based on the Sol badnik, which appeared in the Hill Top Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and in the Red Volcano Zone in Sonic Blast, except that the fireballs float around it on a horizontal plane instead of a verticle one. (Sol was called Gola in the Japanese manual.) A presumably upgraded version named E-31 Gola appeared in Sonic Adventure 2, and a similar badnik simply named Gola appeared in Sonic Advance 2.

E-03 Sweeper is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure. It is a robot styled like a pond-skater insect, that will skim across water quickly in order to try and attack with it's needle nose. It appears only in Emerald Coast and Twinkle Park and is only encountered in Sonic's Action Stages

E-19 Egg Keeper is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure. It appears as an enemy in Hot Shelter and the Final Egg. Egg Keeper deploys its head to paralyze the enemy while the body attacks.

E-09 Buyoon is an E-Series robot from the game Sonic Adventure. It appeared in the action stage Twinkle Park. Buyoon is a small blue robot resembling a rabbit that hops around. When the player gets close, the Buyoon inflates itself to a great size. In this state the robot is almost invincible, but a whack on the head will destroy it. It also cannot move very fast while inflated, and it eventually recharges itself by shrinking. When shrinking, it is vulnerable to attacks.

E-04 Leon is an E-Series badnik that appears in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Advance. It's a chameleon-like badnik apparently based on the Newtron, both in design and purpose. E-04 Leon, made its debut in Sonic Adventure, where it has the ability to turn invisible to avoid detection and sneak on enemies with its tongue and tail lashing. It appears in Windy Valley, Lost World and Hot Shelter. Leon made a second appearance in Sonic Advance, with a complete new design and attack. It crawls around back and forth, and his method of attack is by sticking its large tongue. It shows up in Angel Island Zone.

The E-1009 Egg Bishop is an E-Series robot in Sonic Heroes. It has something of a split personality. It is encountered in Hang Castle and Mystic Mansion. It can be easily destroyed; however it replenishes enemy’s health. It looks like an Egg Pawn with no legs, a staff, the red color of an Egg Pawn, and a skirt like covering for where the legs should be. Egg Bishops also appear in Sonic Rush, in Areas 1 & 2 of Mirage Road. Unlike their appearance in Sonic Heroes, these Egg Bishops launch energy pulses from their staffs to attack. Strangely, the E-1010 Egg Magician does not make an appearance in Sonic Rush. Using a speed class tornado move on an Egg Bishop causes it to flip over to an Egg Magician. This is only true in Sonic Heroes, since the Tornado move is impossible to perform in Sonic Rush.

So far Camerons have only appeared in Sonic Heroes. They can be defeated by using the Speed class's tornado attack. This flips the Cameron over allowing you to attack the less armored underside. However a level three power class can take out an upright Cameron. Camerons have their appearence modeled after real turtles. They are green, or have a green head and legs with a gold shell. Their cannons fire green hoops, however the open center still hurts you.

Sea Pawns are an underwater version of Egg Pawns. They drop mines into Sonic and Blaze's Paths in Sonic Rush. Sea Pawns only appear in Water Palace in both Sonic Rush and Sonic Generations (3DS). There is a larger Sea Pawn in Water Palace (Sonic Generations) that crashes through the walls to slow down Sonic the Hedgehog.

Vehicles

The Egg Mobile (sometimes referred to as Eggmobile, Eggpod, or Egg-O-Matic) is a small, one-man hovercraft piloted by Dr. Eggman as his preferred mode of transportation. There are various versions of the Egg Mobile. Universally, it is a small hovering craft with a very distinct egg-like shape. Other typical features include black and yellow hazard stripes on the sides of the craft, and a small circular lamp on the front. The Egg Mobile can be fitted with a seemingly endless amount of gadgetry. Not only does the doctor use it as his mode of transportation but also as the cockpit of even larger doomsday devices and machines. When these are destroyed, Eggman and his mobile will inevitably emerge relatively unscathed from the wreckage.

The Dark Chao Walker is a huge robot functioned by a Dark Chao exclusively in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. It was meant to replace the multiplayer appearance of Big the Cat (as Nintendo players would be unfamiliar with the cameo at the time of the game's release). It mentors all abilities of heavy fighting robots. The robot was made by Dr. Eggman for the Dark Chao in order to copy the creation of TailsChao Walker. This machine can only be used in the Multiplayer mode shooting game.

The Egg Balloon is a massive blimp used by Eggman to regroup from the Black Arms. It is a striking resemblance to the middle section of Egg Albatross which uses the same attack (although the Egg Balloon has no propeller) and can also separate itself when damaged. When it was put to use however, his retreat to the base was made difficult due to G.U.N.E-123 Omega, and (optional) Shadow himself.

The Egg Carrier is a fictional flying fortress created by Doctor Eggman in the Sonic the Hedgehog series of video games. It appeared first in the game Sonic Adventure. It was modeled after Aerial Strike Vessel/Multi-functional Flying Fortress. It is a large, armoured aircraft with red, yellow, black and white coloured hull, super laser cannon, turret laser cannon, air mines and missile launchers. Similar flying fortresses have been a staple of Sonic the Hedgehog games for a long time, the very first one being the "Sky Base Zone" in Sonic the Hedgehog for Game Gear. The most widely known airship stage, however, was the "Wing Fortress Zone" in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. They have reappeared (often with different names) in many games since - one zone in Sonic & Knuckles was aboard a flying fortress called the "Flying Battery", and another in Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure which was aboard the "Aerobase"

The Death Egg is a massive orbital fortress, constructed by Dr. Ivo Robotnik. A true study in evil mega-engineering, the spherical spacestation resembles the face of Dr. Robotnik himself, with concave eye-sockets and a mustache rendered in kilometers of vacuum-hardened plasmasteel. Hosting some of the Doctor's most deadly creations of all time, this vast stronghold serves as the scientist's final base in the earlySega Genesis-era games. The whole plot of Sonic 2Sonic 3, and Sonic & Knuckles is driven by Sonic and Tails' efforts to destroy the original version of this space station and preventing the mad scientist from using the Chaos Emeralds to power it[1]. Eggman's greatest work is, however, robust stuff - over the course of those three games, the Death Egg survives a fall from space[2] and a failed launch,[3] yet still makes it back into orbit eventually.[4] Although the original battlestation is destroyed during Sonic & Knuckles' Death Egg Zone, Dr. Robotnik has created new iterations of the facility in later games; Sonic Battle being the most recent.

The Death Egg II is Dr. Eggman's base in Sonic the Fighters. Quite dissimilar in design to the original Death Egg deployed in Sonic 2, this battle station has six colorful subsidiary globes connected to the central sphere, as well as an assortment of arm-like doodads attached. In order to decide who will pilot Tails' single-seater rocket (the Lunar Fox) up to the Death Egg II, the heroes hold a fighting competition, which gives the first eight levels of Sonic the Fighters. The player character then blasts up to the space fortress, where the two final fight arenas are set: Death Egg's Eye, where Metal Sonic is fought and Death Egg's Hangar, where Dr. Eggman attacks even while the countdown to explosion gets into its last 15 seconds. When Eggman is defeated, the Lunar Fox departs, and the Death Egg II is shown exploding into tiny pieces.

The Egg Fleet is an immense group of flying battleships built by Eggman and appear, in various forms, in Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood and Sonic Unleashed. The Egg Fleet is introduced in Sonic Heroes, where it is composed of hundreds, if not thousands of ships of various shapes and sizes. The armada first appears toTeam Sonic when they defeat the Egg Albatross, flying away from the base, which was described as a distraction so the fleet could launch. The Egg Fleet appears as the final level, where all teams fly from ship to ship, and destroying at least one each, until the level is complete, where it is followed by all teams having to make its way through the Flagship, called the Final Fortress. It is here where the final boss for each team's story mode (apart from the final story) is fought, the Egg Emperor. In the first Egg Fleet level, there is a lot of choices and oppurtunity for rings, level ups, and lives. At the end of Team Sonic's story, several of the ships randomly collide together. During the final story, Metal Sonic destroys and fuses with part of the Flagship, becoming Metal Madness, and during Team Super Sonic's fight with the Metal Overlord, Metal Sonic would not hesitate to throw any remaining ships at the heroes. Although the flag ship, and possibly the majority of the Egg Fleet survive the encounter, the types featured in Sonic Heroes have never been seen since. An Egg Fleet is featured in Shadow the Hedgehog (though referred to as the Eggman Fleet by Eggman). This armada is far less impressive than the older fleet, composing of noticeably fewer ships, with almost no variation between them, of which only five can be fought directly in the Sky troops stage. The player never lands on any of these ships, and engages four normal ships and a flag ship (which is simply a bigger ship with more firepower, and is in no way bigger than any previous flying battleship) using cannons. The Egg Fleet has a minor role, being simply a defensive against the Black Arms flying fortress, which are old architecture Black Doom says to have installed on the planet over 2,000 years ago. Due to its small role in a level that is completely avoidable, it is unknown if this is a canonical event in accordance to the final story, or if the Egg fleet won or survived against theBlack Arms. In the intro to Sonic Unleashed, Eggman has what appears to be a modified version of the Egg Fleet, which is in space. It's numbers are much bigger than those of the Shadow the Hedgehog Egg Fleet, but not quite as large as the Sonic Heroes Egg Fleet. The Egg Fleet is also seen in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. They are first seen in the intro when Team SonicAmy and G.U.N attack the fleet and destroy it and Eggman (although they realize later he survived). The Egg Fleet is also seen in Metropolis controlled by the Marauders. Sonic, Knuckles and their team hijacks one of the ships but the crew members sabotage it. Meanwhile, Tails, Eggman and their team use a laser cannon to destroy the Egg Fleet before it's to late but accidently hits Sonic, Knuckles and there teams ship, causing them to crash on Angel Island. The Egg Fleet is a gigantic armada of floating battleships that appeared in Sonic Heroes, containing what seems like hundreds of battleships. Each battleship was armed with powerful cannons, and resembled an aquatic creature. It is speculated by Knuckles that the Egg Fleet's flagship is bigger than the Egg Carrier. After finishing the Bullet Station level as Team Sonic, Eggman reveals that he had just distracted them all along. The heroes spotted the Egg Fleet among the clouds, and headed for it. Eventually, all four teams (Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose and Team Chaotix) reached the Egg Fleet, and made their way towards the flagship where Eggman was located. On the flagship, the teams faced off against Eggman, and for some reason the Egg Fleet ships started to ram into each other and explode. At this point, Metal Sonic revealed himself to be the true mastermind behind the plot, and as such it can be assumed that he made the Egg Fleet or took control of it after Eggman had made it. The teams fought Metal Sonic on the flagship, and he transformed into Metal Overlord, who was then fought by Team Sonic in their super forms. During the battle, Metal Overlord sometimes picked up Egg Fleet ships to throw at his enemies. After defeating Metal Overlord, the teams leave the flagship. The Egg Fleet contains the following ships. With the notable exception of Final Fortress (Which is labelled as the Whale Shark Flagship and Final Fortress by Team Chaotix's mysterious client and the game itself, respectively), the ship's names are not official, but instead a nickname due to its shape.

Mako shark gunship - A red ship shaped like a mako shark. It was the basic ship of the fleet, and was armed with a battery of cannons.

Sawfish battleship - A formidable ship, larger and more heavily armed than the gunships and shaped like a blue sawfish. In the background of the Egg Fleet stage, it shows that one battleship leads a group of five gunships. They can be destroyed by spinning into their internal mechanisms, causing the bridge to self-destruct.

Manta ray ship - A giant purple ship in the shape of a manta ray. Though they are battle ships of similar function as the other ships, none of the characters actually board any of these ships. Their size is unknown, but is assumed to be greater than the sawfish ships.

Whale Shark Final Fortress - This massive ship is the flagship of the Egg Fleet. It is in the shape of a whale shark and is much larger than any of Eggman's previous flying fortresses. The Final Fortress was heavily armed, and could have easily been the equivalent of the rest of the fleet in size and armament. It's also where the final levels take place. It was never destroyed in the end of Sonic Heroes and Eggman presumed to decided to hide it and repair it and use it when he feels like it. He uses this ship at the beginning of Sonic Chronicles, and as Sonic and his friends are battling him, Tails rip of the cords of what may looks like the main controlling system of the entire ship which caused it to lose control, break apart, and exploded onto Metropolis while Sonic and his friends escaped on the Tornado.

Battleship: Red ships very similar to the mako shark ships from the Egg Fleet. They are armed with only three cannons, but appear to have teleportation technology. All ships in the fleet except for the Flagship are Battleships, and Shadow can choose to destroy four of them.

Flagship: The flagship of the fleet is large, but not enough to rival the Final Fortress, or even the Egg Carrier. It is armed with eight cannons on the ship's belly. Shadow doesn't board it, but can instead destroy it as the fifth ship of the stage.

Eggman's Space Armada is a fleet of space ships built by Dr. Eggman, presumably so the Eggman Empire could cause terror from the skies of Earth. They met their demise at the hands of Super Sonic, who made "mincemeat" of the armada and confronted Eggman himself on what appeared to be the last remaining space ship. Eggman then "surrendered" to Sonic who turned to leave, but Eggman activated a machine on board the ship that drained the power out of Sonic and the Chaos Emeralds, and used said power to fuel a weapon to shatter the world and unleash "it". This also caused Sonic to transform into a creature dubbed the "Werehog", which terrified Eggman and caused him to toss Sonic out into space with the drained Chaos Emeralds. Although never seen, it is made obvious by the fact that the story the Space Armada appeared in was an adaption of the following game, and that these ships are the same ones that appeared in the opening scene of Sonic Unleashed.

The Final Fortress is a giant whale shark shape battle flagship that makes its first appearance in Sonic Heroes as the final stage and as three different racing tracks in the racing game Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. Final Fortress is located in the heart of the Egg Fleetwhich seems to permentently be surround in rough weather. In Sonic Heroes the Final Fortress acts as Final Stage of the game it has many different sections cross with grinding rails, tornado jump poles, cannon fire, and the best of Dr.Eggman's robotic army, some parts collapse and others can be detenated by a switch. Laser fire occurs periodically throughout the stage probably as a security reflex but before that happens a rail glows to show the player where the laser is going to strike and in the very core of the flagship lies a giant structure with a mechnicalEggman's head on top hiding the core power of the vessal.

Space Colony ARK was the world's first Bernal sphere space colony (mistranslated to "Bernoulli sphere" in the English translation), built more than fifty years before the events of the Sonic Adventure 2 (its first appearance). The ARK was used by the government for scientific testing and experimentation, and housed some of the world's finest minds in the most advanced research center of its kind. One such scientist was Professor Gerald Robotnik, grandfather of Doctor Eggman, many of whose inventions remained aboard the ARK until being reactivated many years after his death. It is particularly notable as the "birthplace" of Shadow the Hedgehog.

The Egg-Go-Round is a the boss of Sonic Advance 2's Techno Base. The Eggmobile has two orange platforms, and two gray platforms circling it. The orange platforms have spikes on them, while the gray platform have spikes that show up momentarily. Eggman also shoots bullets at you after you hit him a few times. To defeat Eggman, you must hit him 8 times without dying.

The Egg Saucer is the machine boss of Sky Canyon in Sonic Advance 2. It later reappears in the XX stage but only takes three hits to defeat. The machine will stay to the right of the stage and has three platforms: the cockpit (for Eggman (or Knuckles when playing as Sonic), a laser, and a huge hand. The laser is optional and takes three hits to destroy, it will also fire a laser with deadly aim. Next is the hand which is a great threat. Sometimes it will swing down, trying to chop the character, or it will do an open-hand slap, which results in an instant death. After the slap, the hand will stay open for a while, touching it will also result in an instant death. The cockpit has no real defense except for the laser and hand, but it can be hard to hit since it has to be hit in the very top. If hit from the bottom, the character will sustain damage.

Big Arm (known as the Squeeze Tag Machine in Sonic the Comic) is the final boss of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. It is the last of three bosses fought in the second act of Launch Base Zone. If Sonic 3 is locked on to Sonic & Knuckles (i.e. in the game Sonic 3 & Knuckles), then Sonic (or Tails) will skip this boss completely, but Knuckles will still have to fight this boss with the Egg Robo piloting it. The Big Arm is a large modified Egg Mobile piloted by Doctor Eggman with spikes on its top and two big hands for grabbing Sonic (or Tails or Knuckles), rolling them into a ball, and slamming them down. Normally the player's only real chance to attack this boss is when it swoops across the screen. The player must make a well-placed Spin Attack to attack the cockpit - too high and the character will hit the spikes, too low and they will be grabbed by the hands.

The Egg Walker was a vehicle used by Doctor Eggman as his primary transportation in Sonic Adventure 2. It resembles Eggman's Eggmobile with two legs added. It is armed with a Volkan Cannon that can shoot regular ammo, a missile launcher, lock-on capabilities, and punching glove. Upon finding certain items, the standard Volkan Cannon becomes a Bazooka, capable of destroying steel crates, the standard lock-on missile becomes a Laser Blaster, capable of "splash damage," and a Jet Booster, giving it the ability to hover in mid-air. The player uses this when playing as Eggman, and fights against it twice when playing as Tails.

Frigate Orcan is the boss of Starlight Carnival in Sonic Colors. Frigate Orcan is a flying war machine with two orca-shaped covering on its top. It is a part of Doctor Eggman's space fleet. In Starlight Carnival, it attempts to gun down Sonic with a machine gun as he runs on the beam of light. The only way to defeat the ship is to attack the back of it where the gun is, or use the Cyan Laser to do double damage. After being hit it will drop a cargo of rings, Wisp Capsules (White and Cyan Wisps only), and lastly spiked balls. After taking some hits the orcas are revealed as a covering for machines powering the frigate and the machine will start smoking. After taking more hits it will be defeated.

Frigate Skullian is the boss of Asteroid Coaster in Sonic Colors. It is similar to Frigate Orcan from Starlight Carnival but is more heavily upgraded. This boss differs from its predecessor by having a red and black color scheme, and several new abilities. In the DS version it's smaller than the Frigate Orcan due to the fact that it carries boxes. It also has a huge yellow weak spot because of the different Sonic Rush/Sonic Rush Adventure gameplay features found in the DS version of Sonic Colors. Frigate Skullian is Frigate Orcan from Starlight Carnival, but upgraded. This boss differs from its previous encounter in Starlight Carnival by being considerably larger than Frigate Orcan, having two machine guns, and the ability of teleportation, which it uses to disappear, reappear, and send asteroids out of the rifts. After taking a few blows, the warship covering reveals twelve robots powering the vessel, along with the face of the ship, which is a creature with eye-stalks, similar to a snail, in contrast to its previous menacing skull appearance. While damaged, the machine will start smoking and the eyes on its back will glow red. After taking that final attack, it sets on fire and drops a cargo of boxes filled with rings. During the battle, the ship will occasionally drop a Wisp Capsule containing the Orange Rocket Wisp, which can be used for double damage during the side-scrolling sections.

Superweapons

The Egg Cracker is a large orbital station used by Eggman to awaken Dark Gaia, in the hopes that it would help him build Eggmanland. It is powered by the Chaos Emeralds, however, one shot drains them completely. It caused the planet to completely be torn apart by the beam of energy it created.

Final Egg Blaster is a weapon built by Dr. Eggman during the course of Sonic Battle. After building it, he attached it to his Death Egg and waited for Emerl to appear. After being defeated by the Gizoid, Eggman fired the Final Egg Blaster on a group of stars, destroying them. This activated Emerl's original program, which was that the Gizoid will break its Link to its former Master and establish a new link with the owner of that overwhelming power. Unfortunately, Eggman's plan worked too well, as Emerl aimed the Final Egg Blaster at Earth and set it to fire in 60 seconds. Eggman, not wanting Emerl to destroy the planet (that way Eggman wouldn't have a world to rule), tried to command him to stop, but Emerl knocked him out. Sonic battled Emerl before the Blaster fired, restoring him to his old self again, but causing such damage that Emerl was destroyed as well. The Blaster was deactivated and the Earth was saved.

The Eclipse Cannon is the ultimate weapon of mass destruction on the Space Colony ARK created by Professor Gerald Robotnik, able to destroy planets and pierce stars. The Chaos Emeralds are needed for the cannon, as it takes large amounts of energy to power it. The Cannon can be seen on the outside of the ARK as it forms the "nose" of the research center. While the Eclipse Cannon never reached it's full potential, using only five Emeralds, it is capable of destroying a large city and produce a large crater in a planet. With six Emeralds, it is able to destroy half of a moon. With seven Emeralds, it could destroy a star as big as the Black Comet.

The Roboticizer transforms living organisms into metal through a process known as Roboticization. It was invented byUncle Chuck and Jules Hedgehog is the first roboticized Mobian. In SatAM, the device was originally created by Sir Charles "Uncle Chuck" Hedgehog with the intention of allowing the elderly to live longer. However, he was forced to abandon the project when test subjects began losing their free will. It was stolen by Dr. Robotnik, then known as Julian, Minister of War for the Acorn Kingdom of Mobius. Robotnik used the device to maintain his grip of terror over the planet, and in a moment of irony, Sir Charles was roboticized by his own creation. According to the Archie continuity, Sir Charles was also responsible for the roboticazion of Sonic's father, Jules, and that Sir Charles had created the roboticizer so that the victims of the Great War (a conflict between the Mobians and the Overlanders) could be healed. This is where Jules, Sonic's father and Charles' younger brother, was the first to be roboticized by Charles as the first test subject. The roboticizer in Sonic Underground appears to function differently than its counterparts. Its background is never delved into and it can be assumed that Robotnik was solely responsible for its creation. While the roboticisers of SatAM and Archie completely convert flesh into metal, the SU roboticiser only carries the process out on some of the body. The subjects therefore bear resemblance to cyborgs, although there are exceptions (e.g. Argus). Interestingly, they still speak in robotic voices even when their mouth remains organic.

Artifacts

The Ark of the Cosmos is a special stone that allows the wearer to manipulate gravity. They also seem to be some kind of power source as they were originally used to power Babylon Garden and Eggman used one to power the mother computer of MeteoTech. There are five stone in all and Sonic and his friends, the Babylon Rogues, and Eggman are trying to get them all. As Jet stated, "they're drawn to one another." Through out the story the five stones are found at different times and locations. Near the end of the Babylon Rouge's story, SCR-HD appears (barely functional) and takes all five Arks of the Cosmos from Wave and takes them back to Babylon Garden. When he gets there, the core of Babylon Garden reacts with the Arks of the Cosmos and creates a black hole and SCR-HD becomes Master Core: ABIS and Sonic and the others have to fight him. But since Sonic and friends no longer have the Arks of the Cosmos, ABIS controls gravity. It is unknown what happened to the Arks after the fight, but it is believed that they were restored to Babylon Garden allowing flight once again.

The Chaos Emeralds are seven emeralds of great power, from the Sonic the Hedgehogvideo games. The Chaos Emeralds have mystical properties and abilities, and the holder of them all can use them for a large variety of things, such as creating a powerful super transformation, powering machines, and warping time and space. Due to the immense powers they possesses, they are usually the target of villains, who wants to use them to fuel their own evil ambitions, and of heroes, who wants to keep them away from the villains and use them for good. After the conclusion of a story, the emeralds tend to scatter themselves, and as such characters often collect them throughout the games. While they were more like "bonus" items in the early games of the series, the Chaos Emeralds became necessary plot devices in Sonic Adventure, and that trend has continued throughout the later 3D games Each Chaos Emerald is said to possess mystical properties and contains unlimited amounts of highly potent and powerful Chaos Energy. The main power of each Chaos Emerald is described as being able to “transform thoughts into power”, which allows them to perform certain feats, such as showing visions, perform magical rituals and even revive the recently deceased. Foremost, however, this power allows the Chaos Emeralds to generate the Chaos Energy they contain, making it the source of the emeralds vast energies. This makes the Chaos Emeralds an everlasting source of pure energy and enables them to float in the air. This energy can be harnessed from the Chaos Emeralds, either by their wielders, or machinery and can be used for various purposes. This energy can even be drawn and reacted from the emeralds without physical contact and be done so over great distances, but they still have to be in close vicinity to the user. When someone harnesses the power of one or more of the Chaos Emeralds, they can perform different Chaos Powers, such as Chaos Control, and occasionally get their own abilities enhanced. When absorbing all seven Chaos Emeralds, they can initiate a super transformation, which usually gives a person the power to fly, invincibility, increased Chaos Powers and improved physical - and special abilities. These transformations, however does not last for long, as they quickly consumes energy and requires ring energy to be maintained over longer periods of time. The energies of these super transformations can also be given from one super form to another character to allow that person to achieve a super form of his own (for example, at the end of Sonic Heroes and Sonic the Hedgehog). The energy of the emeralds can also be harnessed to power machines, making it possible to power various types of powerful and advanced machinery that normally would be impossible to use, due to the immense amounts of energy they require, such as the Eclipse Cannon. The type of Chaos Energy the Chaos Emeralds can produce is based on thoughts/emotions. Positive thoughts, such as friendship and caring, generate positive energies, and negative thoughts, such as anger and hatred, generate negative energies. If the Chaos Emeralds is absent of the negative energies (or possibly positive energies) as seen in Sonic Adventure, or all of their energy as seen in Sonic Unleashed, the emeralds will become gray, pale and apparently powerless. The only know ways to restore the emeralds from this state is through peoples thoughts, or the Gaia Temples. The Chaos Emeralds also appear to amplify their own power, the more there are used in the process. This is mainly demonstrated with the Eclipse Cannon: With five emeralds it could destroy a large city, with six emeralds it could blow up half of the moon and with all seven emeralds it could destroy planets and pierce stars. Each Chaos Emerald is linked to each other, and as stated by Tails, act like magnets that can attract each other, giving them magnetic characteristics. This allowed for example Tails to locate Dr. Eggman’s location on the Space Colony ARK because he had some Chaos Emeralds in his possession. Because of the huge power emanating from each emerald, creating radars to track them are relatively simple (Rouge, Tails and Dr. Eggman all had one in Sonic Adventure 2, and Tails used one again in Sonic Riders).

It is possible to create synthetic Chaos Emeralds with the same wavelength and properties as the originals, but with less power. This has been proven by Tails in Sonic Adventure 2 and by both Tails and the Metarex in Sonic X. However, the Metarex-made Emeralds seem to phase out after use, becoming fragile and useless. The Metarex-made Emeralds seem only to have negative energy inside them as Sonic became Dark Sonic because he was using negative chaos energy only.

Bosses

The Egg Breaker is a boss in Shadow the Hedgehog. It can be encountered in Cryptic Castle, Mad Matrix, or Iron Jungle. In each level it has an extra ability. The Egg Breaker is a mech with an open cockpit that Doctor Eggman sits in. It somewhat resembles the Egg Emperor from Sonic Heroes, except it bears a red and blue paint scheme instead of gold, and its right hand is a giant spiked ball that it can throw, which is used to try to crush Shadow and create shockwaves.  It can jump to create a shockwave, spin around with its spikeball, throw its spikeball, fire balls around it, and fire. It also has the ability to leap considerable distances, fire horizontal arrays of bombs, shoot laser beams with its eyes and throw its spiked ball (it quickly generates a new one).

The Egg Dealer is a vehicle piloted by Doctor Eggman in a boss battle in the game Shadow the Hedgehog. It has four rigid legs which it stands on. It also has slot reels on the front of its body, which can be stopped individually by using the Homing Attack on the buttons below them. The cockpit can be attacked by the laser carried by the egg-pawns, although this is inefficient. Shadow can also damage it by stopping the reels so that it bombs itself (Bomb Fever) or fires a volley of missiles at itself (Missile Fever). Shadow's Chaos Blast power is also effective. If Eggman gets nothing (example: missile, missile, pawn) 3 boxes will appear in the middle of the stage with an egg gun, lance, or zooka. The Egg Dealer is fought after the levels Black Comet (Hero mission), Lava Shelter (Hero or Dark mission), and Cosmic Fall (Dark mission). The potential guides for the battle are therefore KnucklesE-123 Omega, and Vector.

The Egg Cerberus is the first boss faced by both Sonic and Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog. It is a giant dog-like robot, though its appearances in both Sonic and Shadow's stories lead to speculation on whether or not there is one or two of them. (Although the one in Shadow's battle seems wrecked, it could be the one from Sonic's story.) The bosses' defeat requires the player to skate on their headcrest and lead them into a wall.

The Egg Genesis is a robot Eggman made and is a boss in Sonic The Hedgehog (2006). He has 4 arms, search lights, and can fly. He is only seen in Sonic and Silver's story. After destroying 2 arms it fires a core laser. There appear to be 2 because one is yellow, the other is brown. After all of its legs are destroyed, it tries to crash into you. If you get caught in a search light it also fires the core laser.

The Egg Wyvern is the final boss in Sonic's story in Sonic the Hedgehog. The Egg Wyvern is a large robot that resembles the creature of the same name. It is completely red with spots of silver, white, and black here and there. It's head is actually the Eggmobile used throughout Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) that is simply attached to the robot's neck. The Egg Wyvern only made an appearance in Sonic's story as the final boss. After Sonic made it to Eggman's cockpit to rescue Elise, the doctor had finally lost his final straw and decided that it was to end right then and there. However unexplained it is, the battle somehow made it's way outside where Eggman attached his mobile to the Egg Wyvern and go ready to charge at Sonic with it. In the end Sonic was able to defeat the robot and send Eggman spiraling into the sky on his detatched seat. The Egg Wyvern has a decent assortment of weapons. It uses it's whole body as a weapon in the boss battle with him as he was able to charge at Sonic in the hopes of taking him out. The glowing red horn on it's head mamy however have been the real thing that was to serve as a weapon despite the fact that all Sonic had to do was homing attack it to latch on. It fires a random assortment of lasers down at Sonic at one point. At another point it flies around and shoots multiple fire blasts toward Sonic. And throughout the course of the battle is fires electric projectiles that are able to take out the platfroms Sonic stands on.

The Egg Turtle is the boss of Forest Falls and the first boss of Sonic Rivals. It is a gigantic robot turtle. The battle takes place upon a circular field. Players will run around the field as the head of the turtle chases them. At random instances, it will pop out both its head and its tail. Jumping on the head gains the player a hit, while jumping on the tails sends out a shockwave that will damage the other player. After a certain amount of hits, the Egg Turtle will spin faster. The first player to accumulate six hits wins the battle, and the boss is destroyed.

The Egg Falcon is the second boss of Sonic Rivals. At the end of the Colosseum Highway Zone, "Dr. Eggman" attacks in a giant mechanical falcon. The battle takes place amid a circular field with floating platforms. As the Egg Falcon flies around the field, it drops various bombs. These bombs will either set the platforms on fire, freeze them, or shrink them. If a player jumps on a burning platform, he is instantly damaged. If he jumps on a frozen platform, he's instantly frozen. Occasionally, the Egg Falcon will lower itself to striking range above the top platforms. Players must make their way to these higher platforms, and attack the falcon's cockpit before it raises itself out of reach. The first player to accumulate six hits wins the battle, and the boss is destroyed.

The Egg Lynx is the third boss of Sonic Rivals. It is a giant mechanical lynx. The battle takes place near an icy cave. Players must run across the two ends of the cave to dodge ice projectiles that the boss attacks with. occasionally, the Egg Lynx will come within striking range of the players, slamming it's paws and making a shock wave as it does so. Players must jump on top of its paws and attack the cockpit to deal damage. The first player to accumulate six hits wins the battle, and the boss is destroyed. The Shockwaves it makes can also be jumped over.

The Egg Kong is the fourth boss of Sonic Rivals. At the end of the Death Yard Zone, "Dr. Eggman" attacks in a giant mechanical gorilla. Metal Sonic is sent to distract the players in the story. Players must run around the Egg Kong as it fires various projectiles. Occasionally, some will stick to the ground and leave indents that the player can boost off of. Boosting on these sends a missile around the arena which freezes the first player it touches. After some time, "Eggman" will emerge from the head of the Egg Kong in a brain capsule. As he does, he fires an electric blast to the ground which sends out a shock wave. This also leaves him open to attack. The first player to accumulate six hits wins the battle, and the boss is destroyed.

The Egg Destroyer is the fifth and final boss of Sonic Rivals. At the end of theMeteor BaseEggman Nega (still disguised as the normal Eggman inKnuckles and Sonic's stories) has strapped his two-dimensionalising camera to a giant spacecraft. Fueled by the cards of Amy RoseRouge the Bat, and the Master Emerald, he's set to destroy the world by taking a picture of it with the camera. Unlike the other bosses of the game, this battle is fought on a linear course, along the spine of the rocket ship. Players must make their way to the front of the ship where "Eggman" is seated. Along the way, they are greeted by laser cannons, freezing blasts, and fireballs, at the same time having to contend with attacks from Metal Sonic. Each section is blocked off by a laser fence which must be destroyed before it can be passed. The first hit on its turrent sends players back to the starting point of the section; the second allows progress onwards. As each turret is destroyed, the part of the rocket it was on detaches and explodes. Metal Sonic is teleported to the next section. Waiting at the end of the ship is Nega's control module. After two hits (bringing the total to eight hits across the Egg Destroyer as a whole), Nega's pod is sent airborne where it explodes. This explosion causes his camera to backfire, and Nega himself is turned into a card.

Ghost Rex is a boss from the game Sonic Rush Adventure. Ghost Rex is a massive robotic Tyrannosaurus Rex. It can be damaged by jumping on its head. It attacks by biting, and later by trying to crush Sonic under its neck. The latter occurs after it stomps wildly, and breaks the ground. It will also try to ram across the player's platform in both phases of the fight, but the player can hold it back by landing on it's head. It lives in Plant Kingdom. It was created by Eggman Nega and Doctor Eggman.

Ghost Pendulum is the second boss of Sonic Rush Adventure. It is the boss of the Machine Labyrinth stage. It was created by Eggman and Eggman Nega. Ghost Pendulum doesn't attack the player directly but uses the colored penulums (hence the name) to harm the player. The Ghost Pendulum has three different colored pendulums (but starts out with one), the first is blue and is the smallest and lightest. After a few hits, a yellow pendulum will come out. The yellow is a bigger and a bit heavier and requires more hits to make it reach the head. He may also send out a small robot (similiar to the one from Night Carnival from the first game) which is very easy to destroy. After a few more hits, a red pendulum will appear. The red pendulum is the bigget and heaviest, meaning that it requires more hits to make to reach the head. At this point he will start slamming the ground with his bottom half, creating a easily-avoided shockwave. Halfway through the fight, the pendulums will get spikes that come out at random times (but it can be predicted by the pendulums flashing red) which can harm the player. When the Ghost Pendulum's health is completely down, it will fall, giving Sonic (orBlaze) a chance to hit a jewel on his head (his weak spot) directly. After the hit, Ghost Pendulum will explode.

The Ghost Kraken is the third boss in Sonic Rush Adventure. After Sonic encounters Captain Whisker and meets Blaze again, Whiskers sends the Ghost Kraken on the two to destroy them. The Ghost Kraken attacks mostly with its tentacles, but has one jewel-like tentacle, which is its weak spot. At times, it will also launch globs of ink which will temporarilly stun Sonic or Blaze, and it will slam its tentacles down on those areas as well. As the fight progresses, the Ghost Kraken will start to grow enraged and will submerge the platform underwater. While underwater, the rest of the platform is blocked off and the player can't jump over the tentacles. Also, it may spray a jet of ink to cloud the player's vision, and it will send the tentacles in waves. At that time is the chance to hit its weak spot. At the end of the fight, the Ghost Kraken will fire a glob of ink directly at the screen, almost completely clouding the player's view. The Kraken will then bring all its tentacles out and the player has to hit the tentacle with the crystal to finally defeat it. Luckily, the player's view isn't completely blocked.

The Ghost Pirate is the boss of the Haunted Ship stage from Sonic Rush Adventure. After SonicTailsBlaze, and Marine find Captain Whisker, he taunts Blaze, telling her to try and take the Jeweled Scepter from him. Whisker then sends the Ghost Pirate against them. The Ghost Pirate mainly fights in hand-to-hand combat, swinging his sword and kicking. When the player hits the jewel in his chest (his weak point), the jewel will fly away and come to rest on the Crow's Nest and will stay there until it is hit a few times. But just because it's not in the Ghost Pirate, doesn't mean the Pirate can't move. It will still go after the player. As the fight goes on, the Ghost Pirate will perform a vortex of fire, that will even harm Blaze (since she is invulnerable to fire) and will also fly up into the air and slam down on the ship. When it slams down, the player will be harmed unless they jump when it comes down. At times, the Ghost Pirate will also dismember himself and charge toward the player. Repeat this process until its health bar is down. When the jewel's health is completely down, the jewel will fly around the stage erratically (wildly without its movements being predicted) until the player hits it. The jewel will then explode and the fight will end.

The Ghost Whale is the boss of Blizzard Peaks from the game Sonic Rush Adventure. After SonicTailsBlaze, and Marine find Captain Whisker, they find that the Vikings were frozen solid and Captain Whisker sends the Ghost Whale to attack Sonic (or Blaze) and freeze them just like the Vikings. This boss is fairly simple, he'll swim up to the block of ice the player is standing on and bite a chunk off. At this time, the player must jump to hit the jewel on his forehead to stun him, and he'll open his mouth. When the player enters his mouth, you'll get a limited amount of time before the Ghost Whale expels the player. The player must navigate through the Ghost Whale's bowels to find the "heart". Once the heart is found, the player must attack it and the Ghost Whale will spit the player out through his blowhole. This must be repeated twice more, each one is slighty harder with a different layout. After 3 hits, the Ghost Whale will be immobile until the player jumps to hit the jewel on his forehead one last time. After that hit, he'll explode and Whisker will run away.

The Ghost Condor is the boss of Sky Babylon from Sonic Rush Adventure. After reaching Captain Whisker, he reveals that he's looking for something but doesn't want to reveal too much. So he sends the Ghost Condor to destroy Sonic and Blaze. At the start of the fight, the Ghost Condor will fire mines from his tail, and sometimes, he'll fire a green one, which the player can use to get to the top screen and damage him. After reaching the top screen, the player must land on one of the "wings" to stay on the top screen to keep hitting him. After a while, he'll fire a missile in an attempt to hit the player. If the player falls off, they'll have to repeat the process. As the fight goes on, the player will start to speed up and the Ghost Condor may send green fish-like robots that the player can also use to reach the top screen. Sometimes, he'll drop down to the bottom screen and perform a spin attack towards the player, but is rather easy to dodge. He may also send one of his "wings" down and three spikes will appear. If it's to the side, the player must jump at the right time to avoid it. If it appears at the top, the player must simply move left or right to avoid it. After enough hits, the Ghost Condor will drop down and will not attack or do anything until the player jumps up and hits the jewel on his forehead. If the player takes too long, he'll regain some health and the fight will continue. After the Ghost Condor's defeat, Whisker runs away but leaves behind a tablet that's in another language. Marineoffers to translate (but can't read it) and Blaze steps in and translate. Mentioning of a floating landmass, much like Sky Babylon, that fell into the sea. Tails wonders about the landmass and what connection it could have to the pirates. If the player heads to Sky Babylon first, Blaze will sugggest heading toward Blizzard Peaks.

The Ghost Titan is the boss of the Big Swell stage from Sonic Rush Adventure. After Sonic and Blaze defeated Captain Whisker and his partner, Johnny, they ran away but Marine (who everyone thought stayed behind on Southern Island) caught up to Whisker to try and capture him but was captured herself. Tails noticed that she was captured and Whisker was about the "torture" her with the "Tickler", which is presumed to be the Ghost Titan. Tails then came up with a plan to distract Whisker, by saying that the Jeweled Scepter was "over there". While Whisker was distracted, Sonic spin dashed at the Ghost Titan's hand, freeing Marine and Blaze caught her. The player then fights the Ghost Titan. The Ghost Titan is mainly out of reach but can be hit by one of two cannons on either side of the stage. The Ghost Titan will either use small fish-like drones (the red ones can be hit to damage the Ghost Titan directly) or the cannons on his shoulders. Either ones can be used to destroy the forcefield surrounding the cannons; they can also be destroyed by the player attacking it, but it was cause damage. After the forcefield is down, the player can enter the cannon and crosshairs will appear. If timed right, the player will deal huge amounts of damage to the Titan. At times, the Ghost Titan will fly down and will either try to punch the player or fire gunshots; either can be used to destroy the forcefields. Repeat this process until the Ghost Titan's health to down. The player must get into the cannon again and hit the head with maximum force (which with rather hard as the crosshairs are moving faster). Once hit, the Ghost Titan will perform its final attack, two lasers that will begin at either ends of the stage. If the player touches the lasers, they'll die instantly. When the lasers get close, it's head will fall just into range for the player to jump up and hit it. The screen will go white and the player will be graded. The Ghost Titan then explodes and Sonic and Balze narrowly escape and watch the Big Swell sink into the sea. Sonic comments that's it's finally over and the rest of the group turn to Marine and state that what she did was risky. Sonic then says that "What counts is that it all worked out fine..." and asks Blaze about the Jeweled Scepter. Blaze believes that it might have sunk to the bottom of the sea along with the pirates. Marine then reveals that she stole the Jeweled Scepter from Whisker when he wasn't looking and everyone heads back to Southern Island and return the Jeweled Scepter to its rightful place.

The Egg Wizard is the true final boss of Sonic Rush Adventure. This boss can be fought after obtaining the 14 Emeralds (theChaos Emeralds and Sol Emeralds), and defeating the Ghost Titan. After regaining the Jeweled Scepter from Captain Whisker and his band of pirates, and obtaining the Chaos and Sol Emeralds,Gardon told SonicTailsBlaze, and Marine that someone broke in and stole the Jeweled Scepter. Shortly, a greater earthquake occurred and the group went outside, the Egg Wizard suddenly appeared and Dr. Eggman appeared along with Eggman Negaand told the group that they built Whikser to steal the Scepter so they could unleash the Power of the Stars. The Eggmen left to get the Power of the Stars (which was under the Southern Island) and Sonic and friends went after them in a new machine, built by Tails, called the Magma Hurricane. Once they get there, they saw they were too late as the two Eggmen got to the Power of the Stars and threatened to destroy both Sonic's world and Blaze's world and create a multidimensional Eggmanland. The immense power seperated Sonic and Blaze from Tails and Marine and Eggman and Nega also said that both sets of emeralds couldn't compare to their power. Nega also threatened to destroy Blaze's kingdom and taunted her ancestors, saying that it was their duty to protect the Scepter and that their help was much appreciated. This angered Blaze, but Sonic got her to calm down and they used the Emeralds to transforminto Super Sonic and Burning Blaze. They then challenge the Egg Wizard for the sake of both worlds and Blaze's kingdom and people. After the fight, Eggman Nega presses the "Planet Buster Cannon" button to try and destroy Sonic and Blaze, even though Eggman told him not to press that button, but suddenly, Marine hits the Egg Wizard with some kind of odd, green ability from her hands. Blaze uses this opportunity to hit the Egg Wizard, throwing it into the air, while Sonic comes from behind and charges at the mech from behind and exits through the jewel on the front and the Egg Wizard explodes. The player then is graded on how much time was spent and how many rings the player has left. Eggman somehow escapes the explosion (possibly by returning to the Chaos Dimension), given his reappearance in later games, but as Eggman Nega makes no further appearances (unless he is the same Eggman NEGA inSonic Rivals 2), and Sonic directly smashes through one of the cockpits of the Egg Wizard, it is unknown if the same can be said for him. The Egg Wizard is one of the most powerful robots ever created by Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega. With theJeweled Scepter in it's possession, the Egg Wizard can tap into the Power of the Stars, enabling it to fight against even super transformed characters. In fact, the sheer force of it's power alone can create strong earthquakes, and, as implied by Eggman Nega, it is capable of destroying entire planets with it's "Planet-Buster Laser" attack. With the aid of the Jeweled Scepter, the Egg Wizard can perform several magical-based energy attacks. It can create and launch several orbs of fire with varying intensity, create up to three dragons made of fire that explodes upon contact, launch electrical beams that can paralyze even super transformed character and summon large meteors. It can also use the Jeweled Scepter to stir up the magma under it, creating columns of magma. When not using the Jeweled Scepter, it can launch a row of several large missiles that cannot be avoided. It has aslo proven itself to be very fast, being able to keep a safe distance between it, and Super Sonic and Burning Blaze. Since the Egg Wizard has not demonstrated any of it's power, before it gained the Jeweled Scepter, it is unknown how strong it is without the use of the scepter.

Interceptor is a large, hovering Badnik that chases after Sonic during day stages in Sonic Unleashed. It is sometimes referred to as a mini-boss. Interceptor's attack patterns vary between different versions of the game. In thePS2/Wii version this enemy gets destroyed by a total hit of 5 Super Boosts.

The Egg Beetle, piloted by Dr. Eggman, is the first boss of Sonic Unleashed, fought in daytime as Sonic the Hedgehog. Despite its name, it looks more arachnid than a beetle. It should not be confused with the security system within the Sonic Adventure 2 stage Egg Quarters. It starts by firing missiles, mines and even snapping with flame-covered claws. Sonic must boost his way until he gets enough distance that the Egg Beetle rears back to snap. Boost again to smack the beetle backward, and if your Ring Energy is filled enough, you can ram into the Egg Beetle for a total of 3 hits before it gets back in position. Pretty much, if you have enough Ring Energy, you can almost continuously boost through the stage. If you're not quick enough, though, the screen will occasionally shift to a 2D perspective and it will use the same attacks, but you will have less room to dodge.

The Egg Devil Ray is a large amphibious robot that looks like a lobster. It is the Temple Guardian of Spagonia. He is unlocked by completing Spagonia Day in the Wii/PS2 version and by completing both Spagonia Day and Chun-nan Day in the 360/PS3 versions. He puts up a shield, but you can still boost through it until it puts up an electrified shield after you hit it. It attacks by shooting lasers in various patterns. Respond as necessary. Also, the camera will change to an overhead perspective and it will fire small fireballs in various patterns. Simply jump over them. Sometimes, the perspective will shift to 2D, and the Egg Devil Ray will release lasers in varying sizes. Jump and slide when appropriate.

The Egg Lancer is the Temple Guardian of Adabat and the final day boss before Dark Gaia. Like the Egg Beetle it is also an arachnid, in fact, in the bestiary in the 360/PS3 version it mentions the Egg Lancer is simply a combination of leftover parts from the Egg Beetle and Egg Devil Ray. This boss is fought after completing Adabat Day. It starts out by shooting lasers on the sides of the arena, then it opens its claws so you can attack it. Then it goes up the path and hide behind the mesh floor. Meanwhile, it shoots a bunch of stationary lasers. Simply Quick Step around them. Then, it will fire two lasers on the sides that close in on you and it will open its claws. Boost into it before you get hit by the lasers. Then, the track will curve downward and Sonic will drop on to a platform below, which is rigged with lasers everywhere. Jump and Quick Step when necessary. After you get past that, the Egg Lancer will fire lasers and open its claws again. Hit it again. Then you will have to do a QTE jump pad section, where the last one is a three button QTE. If you can do this, you will deal massive damage. On the second lap, the Egg Lancer will fire lasers in the middle of the track below. If you stay in the middle, you will actually fall a little to the right. After it is finished, hit it once more. When you follow it back to the mesh wall, it will shoot a line of lasers and the top laser will move forward, and then the next one, and so on. Before the laser in front of you moves forward, Quick Step right. Then, they will move back, starting with the top. Quick Step right when the one behind you moves back. Then, it will release a line of bombs that will move in a similar pattern. Repeat the process with the bombs, then boost into the Egg Lancer. When you fall down to the next platform, it will be littered with fireballs in sort of a checkerboard pattern. Quick Step around them and hit the Egg Lancer again. If you took every oppurtunity to hit it, you should finish it off in the QTE section.

The Egg Dragoon or the Ultra-Hyper Prototype-1 is the final robot boss from Sonic UnleashedDr. Eggman developed it using the power supplied by Dark Gaia. Upon completing the "Eggmanland" stage, Sonic the Werehog and Chip end up in the opening of a canal leading to the core of the planet. Eggman surprises the duo by revealing his latest creation: the new "Ultra-hyper Prototype 1," better known as the Egg Dragoon. The doctor promptly destroys the cover of the canal Sonic and Chip are standing on, forcing the two to seek a foothold on a chunk of metal. After a heated battle, Sonic manages to dislodge Eggman from its cockpit and disable the Egg Dragoon's propulsion system, causing the robot to fall and melt into slag in the planet's core. Though it is unofficial, it appears that Eggman has an early design for the Egg Dragoon used on his Starcruiser.

The Egg Cauldron is a mini-boss from Sonic Unleashed, fought at the end of Tornado Defense Act I & II. It is a flying fortress armed to the teeth with aircraft and cannons. There are two main methods to beat this boss: Method One: Wait until Eggman launches a full-scale attack. After defeating all of the enemies, the large access door will remain open a couple of seconds. While it's open, shoot it using whatever button is indicated. Repeat until destroyed. Method Two: Wait the battle out by shooting all of the missles and enimies. Eventually, the fortress will fall out of the sky. The timer for the energy failure is set at 2 minutes 30 seconds.

The Nega-Wisp Armor is the Final Boss of Sonic Colors, this boss is the first 3D Modern Sonic Final Boss to not have Super Sonic as an obligatory transformation. A giant robot, piloted by Dr. Eggman, who uses the powers of the Wisps like Sonic but can use with more intensity and can combine them at his will. For doing so, the Doctor needs to harvest Wisps constantly through the battle. It fires the Cube power to launch cubes at Sonic, Spikes to launch spikeballs in the ground, and Laser to fire laser from its hands, it will also combine the Cube and Spikes together to make Spikes come to you, and the Laser with Cube to make the laser reflect at the cubes and hit you, it will also use Frenzy to get far from Sonic. When it needs to use another attack, the arms will suck up nearby Wisps into itself through the giant hands. The only weak spot is if Sonic peforms a homing attack chain going up its arm and strikes at Eggman in the cock pit. At points during the boss battle, Sonic will recover the color Wisps that Eggman used to his side, but they merely float alongside him. When it is on the brink of defeat, Sonic combines all the color Wisps he's saved to perform a combination attack called the Final Color Blaster to finish the ENG and send Eggman flying.

The Death Egg Robot, also known as Giant Mech, is the final boss of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It appears as the second boss of theDeath Egg Zone in that game, and is fought immediately afterSilver Sonic. It looks much like a giant robotic Dr. Eggman, but is in fact a suit piloted by the real Robotnik. It is very difficult to defeat as there are no rings in the entire stage. After beating Silver Sonic, the real hedgehog chases after Robotnik, who escapes into the Death Egg Robot. It just moves very slowly and the player has to jump and hit the body to damage it, which is harder than it sounds because if timed wrong, the player may touch one of the hands and die. After a while, the Robot will fly up and a lock-on target will appear and follow the player. Soon, the lock-on will start flashing and the Death Egg Robot will slam down. When it comes down, its hands will fire, attempting to hit the player. Repeating the process, the mech will break down and explosions will follow the player as Sonic (or Tails) will throw themselves out of the Death Egg into space. If the player gets all the Chaos Emeralds and finishes as Sonic, a storybook-like ending will play with Tails and thesmall animals watching the Death Egg explode. Tails then gets into the Tornado so he can start adventuring, while flying, he spots Sonic, who activated his Super FormSuper Sonic sometime after escaping the Death Egg. The two then fly away and fly toward the screen. If the player fails to get the Emeralds, the ending is the same, but Sonic will land on the wings of the Tornado and will jump toward the screen.

Drillinator is the boss of Planet Wisp in the DS Version ofSonic Colors. Drillinator is a robot that has to drills for hands, and uses them to his advantage. Drillinator is painted in a brown and green paint scheme. It is possible that Doctor Eggmanmay have built Drillnator to help construction purposes of Planet Wisp. During the boss fight, Drillinator will stab its drills into the ground to try and stab Sonic. If his first attack fails, it will sit on its charger and will do a 360 degree spin around the arena in an attempt to injure Sonic. If that attack backfires it'll launch is drills in the air and bury themselves in the ground, where they shortly retract to Drillinator's arm. Its body can't be attacked itself, but a spherical eye should be located near its body. If Drillinator falls from too much damage, a weak spot shaped like the point of an arrow will be on top of an antenna atop its head. Once attacked, the point will explode destroying Drillinator completely.

The Egg Hawk is the first boss in the game Sonic Heroes. It attacks by shooting lasers at the player and is piloted by Eggman. To defeat this boss, the team must chase it and wait for it to land in order to deal damage. The boss may or may not be supported by enemies depending on the team the player has selected. The Egg Hawk is later upgraded and serves as a harder boss later in the game.

The Egg Albatross is the fourth boss inSonic Heroes and is the boss of Bullet Station. It is a ship with the Egg Hawkon top. The player must destroy key weapons on the Albatross to destroy it. The first phase deals with the undercarriage of the ship, which contains Egg Pawn gunners, a frontal cannon, and four blasters that emit projectiles like those of the turtle robots from Grand Metropolis. After destroying one of the wings, both wings fall off. After that, the ship becomes a blimp barely floating above the ground, with many cannons on each side. The rotor is the only safe place to attack it in this form. Once the main engine has been destroyed, the Egg Hawk will begin to flee. This part of the fight is made more difficult by the fact that the Egg Hawk never stops to land. A Team Blast will be effective at this point. After the fight, all teams find that the Eggman piloting the contraption was a fake. Each team then progresses to Frog Forest. When either Team Sonic or Team Dark runs away, the Eggman fake melts into silver liquid and reforms revealing to really be Neo Metal Sonic.

The Egg Emperor is one of the last bosses in the game, Sonic Heroes. You must chase it continuously or else it will charge at you (this is impossible to evade). To beat it you must hit the centre target located on the chest of the robot. It uses three different attacks:

It slices its spear through the air, creating laser blasts which can damage you.

It launches several rockets at you.

It charges at you (this requires a large distance between you and the Emperor).

The Egg Emperor also releases weaker robots to protect itself, as well as carry a shield for defense. This shield is destroyable. There is a way to dodge it charge with Team Sonic and Team Rose, you will have to perfectly execute a rocket excel under its leg with perfect timing.

The Egg Missile is part 1 of the true final boss from Sonic & Knuckles, as well as its locked-on form, Sonic 3 & Knuckles. It is fought in the Doomsday Zone. The Egg Missile has a launcher on the bottom which fires homing rockets atSonic (in his Super or Hyper Form). It also has a trio of cannons on its side which fires shots at Sonic. Neither of these will cause Sonic harm but will knock him back, hindering his efforts to destroy the ship. The ship is invincible to Sonic and therefore cannot be attacked directly. The only way to defeat it is to make its missiles hit its head to the top right. This must be done quickly as rings cannot be collected while this fight is happening. Once the ship has been destroyed, the Egg Bomber emerges from its wreckage and part two of the final fight ensues.

The Egg Bomber is the second phase of the true final boss from Sonic & Knuckles, as well as its locked-on form, Sonic 3 & Knuckles. It is fought in the Doomsday Zone, after the fight with the Egg Missile. Like most other bosses, it must be hit eight times in order to be destroyed. It resembles Egg Robo. Its only attack is to, as its name implies, launch bombs at you. They won't actually hurt, but they can hinder you until you run out of rings. Unlike the previous boss, Egg Missile, this one can damaged by Super (or Hyper) Sonic's dashes.

The Great Eggman Robo, known in Japan as the Kyodai Eggman Robo, was a giant mech that served as the boss of the Death Egg Zone in Sonic's or Tails' story of Sonic & Knuckles. It resembles Giant Mech which appeared as the final boss of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. This enormous mech is fought in three phases. Like in the final bosses in Sonic 1 and Sonic 2, there are no rings in this final boss (not counting the Doomsday Zone), although any rings still in hand from Act 2 are carried forward, so the first attempt at this boss may actually be the player's best chance of succeeding.

The Egg Viper is the final machine used by Dr. Eggman in Sonic Adventure. It is a flying snake-like machine with two large spiked slowly-spinning discs on either side of the main body that fires rapid lasers, a powerful laser cannon, spiked discs and homing balls of electricity. This is widely considered the most popular of Eggman's vehicles.

The Egg Hornet is the second boss in Sonic Adventure as Sonic, and the first asTails. It appears near the beginning of the game when Sonic and Tails go back to his lab in the Mystic Ruins. The Hornet attacks by firing missiles at the player, and then charging into them with its two drills. It can be defeated by attacking the cockpit when Eggman rams it into the ground.

The Egg Walker is a large robot and the final Boss Tails faces in Sonic Adventure. It is a large robot with four legs that attacks by dropping bombs, shooting missiles, and trying to stomp Tails. The only way to beat this boss is to first incapacitate the legs, and then hit Eggman directly. The number of legs you have to hit is increased as the Egg Walkers health dwindles. The Egg Walker has only been used once to date. After Eggman's attempt to destroy Station Square via missile is foiled by Tails, the doctor loses his temper and faces the young fox with the Egg Walker. However, Tails defeats the giant bot, much to the admiration and joy of the residents of Station Square.

The Egg Golem is a boss character appearing in Sonic Adventure 2. It is a giant animated stone statue. After Knuckles the Echidna defeats King Boom Boo, Eggman appears and summons a giant animated stone statue called the Egg Golem to battle Sonic the Hedgehog. To defeat the Egg Golem, Sonic must run to his back, jump across the platforms that stick out, and attack Golem's control mechanism atop its head. You can alsoHoming Attack the platforms with glowing symbols. In the Dark Story, Sonic immediately jumps up and kicks the control mechanism, causing the Egg Golem go haywire and turn on Eggman. In order to defeat it, Eggman has to use his Volcan Cannon to destroy its internal power generators. Once all three of them are destroyed, the Egg Golem becomes disabled and sinks into the quicksand. The music is also a remix of King Boom Boo's music, and this bosses music is labeled as 'Boss 4A'.

The Egg Ball is the third boss of Sonic Advance, located in Casino Paradise Zone. It's a tricky boss fight as Dr. Eggman in his mobile and a "dummy ball" go through tubes and the player must hit Eggman; hitting the dummy ball will result in losing rings (unless they have a barrier which in that case they'll lose the barrier instead).

The Time Eater is one of the main antagonists and the final boss of Sonic Generations. Initially a creature/force drifting through space, gifted with powers over time and space itself, it was discovered by Dr. Eggman who decided to use it to conquer the world by using it to alter history. The original and primordial form of the Time Eater was a supernatural creature/force of unknown origin, drifting through the vast regions of space in Sonic's universe. At some point, after his last defeat by Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Eggman discovered this form of the Time Eater, while he, Cubot and Orbot were floating through space. After examining it, Eggman discovered that the Time Eater had the ability to erase time and space. He then came up with the idea of utilizing the Time Eater's powers to prevent his previous defeats by the the hands of Sonic, by altering and possibly erasing Sonic's history so that he would be victorious in the present. Through unknown means, Dr. Eggman managed to convert the Time Eater into a robot-like being which he could control. He was unable to complete the process, however, and he needed help from someone as smart as himself to finish the Time Eater. Still, even with the Time Eater incomplete, Dr. Eggman was able to travel through time and began interfering with history. The Time Eater first appears in Green Hill Zone as Classic Sonic, Sonic's past self, explores it. It is next seen in the present day, when it appears at a birthday party for Modern Sonic, Sonic's present self. Using the Time Eater, Dr. Eggman abducts Sonic's friends and scatters them through time, intending to bait Sonic into his laid-out traps. In the process the Time Eater beats back Sonic when he tries to stop the it. Sonic is then forced into the White Space by the Time Eater, only to meet with his Classic self later. After Classic Sonic defeats the Death Egg Robot aboard the Death Egg, the Time Eater reappears, apparently kidnapping that time's Dr. Eggman; this actually turn out to be the result of Dr. Eggman search: It turned out that the the only person smart enough to help Modern Dr. Eggman perfect the Time Eater was himself, so he decided to kidnap this time's Eggman so he could assist him. After disappearing from the Death Egg, Classic Dr. Eggman gladly decides to team up with Modern Dr. Eggman to defeat Sonic and help complete the Time Eater. The Time Eater reappears several times after that, flying through the White Space. It is next seen after Modern Sonic defeats the Egg Dragoon, where reappears and takes the Modern Dr. Eggman away (This time it was possibly controlled by Classic Dr. Eggman). After this, both Sonics confront Time Eater in the Center of Time, where the perfected Time Eater appears. Modern Dr. Eggman then reveals himself as the first pilot of the Time Eater, to which Tails wonders how Eggman could pull it off. The second pilot is then revealed to be Classic Eggman, who stated that he had a little help. Modern Eggman then explains his discovery of the Time Eater, his partnership with Classic Dr. Eggman and his plans to use the Time Eater to erase Sonic's actions from history and to destroy both Classic and Modern Sonic, thus erasing Sonic from the time line entirely. Sonic declares that he takes on Eggman all the time and wins, and taunts him with fact that this time there are two of him to fight. Modern and Classic Dr. Eggman then begins assaulting them with the Time Eater, where the Sonics evades all attacks. Modern Dr. Eggman then launches the Time Eater's arm into a time portal as the two Sonics attack. The Time Eater effortlessly beats back both Sonics before the portal opens up behind them - and Time Eater's arm emerges from it, squashing the pair. As the Time Eater gets ready to finish them off, however, Sonic's friends arrive and encourage them both to defeat the Time Eater and both Eggmen. The Chaos Emeralds emerge and the pair transform into Super Sonic who confronts the Time Eater in another dimension. The pair are eventually victorious in destroying the Time Eater, leaving both Eggmen stranded in the White Space while they and their friends return to the present day while undoing all the Time Eater's work.

Master Core: ABIS is the final and only boss in the game Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. Originally SCR-HD, he stole all five Arks of the Cosmos and created a black hole in the Babylon Garden. Sonic, Jet and co. raced to the Garden and confronted SCR-HD, now Master Core: ABIS, on the Mobius Strip. The battle with Master Core: ABIS is similar to that of the Babylon Guardian, but is considered much harder. He has 6 hit points, which is double what the Babylon Guardian had, and the only way to hit him is to take advantage of his Gravity Dive and hit the sphere underneath him, similar to the Babylon Guardian's vase. When he is defeated Master Core: ABIS disappears into the black hole, and all is returned to normal. Master Core: ABIS can activate Gravity Drive, thanks to the Arks of the Cosmos, as well as shoot balls of energy, and summon meteor storms.
